Bayonetta 3 feature-2

Bayonetta 3 Unofficial PC Port Available for Download

Although the first Bayonetta game was released on PC, its two sequels were not. Now, PC gamers can play the entire trilogy on their PCs. A few days ago, I informed you about an unofficial PC port of Bayonetta 2. And now, an unofficial PC port of Bayonetta 3 is also available for download.

The PC port comes with a simple launcher that makes setup and play easier. Its Install page checks your game files, copies them, and builds the game code for your PC. Do note, though, that it only accepts the version 1.2.0 files. The launcher also prepares shaders before the first play session. This can take a few minutes, but later launches skip most of this work.

The launcher has separate pages for play, graphics, controllers, installation, and session data. Players can pick their screen size and graphics quality. They can also swap the A and B buttons, set the controller dead zone, and change vibration settings. A Sessions page shows how the last game session ran. Logs are also saved to help find and fix problems.

B3-Express can also change how objects fade out. Players can pick the game’s normal effect, turn the effect off, or use smooth transparency to remove the checkerboard look. Moreover, the port supports PlayStation and Xbox button prompts. This means players can see the right buttons for their gamepad instead of the default Switch prompts. Sadly, though, I did not find any info on whether or not it supports the mouse and keyboard.

Another key feature is support for 60 FPS cutscenes. The game uses 30 FPS for these scenes by default, but players can turn on the higher rate with a setting. This option is still experimental. Some heavy scenes may fall below 60 FPS, and the sound may fall out of sync. The port also reduces shader stutter by preparing shaders before they are needed. It saves shader and pipeline data so later runs can have fewer long waits.

The project aims for smooth play rather than frame rates above 60 FPS. Tests show that many scenes can run close to this target, but heavy fights can still slow down. Some areas may also cause short freezes or frame drops when they first load. The team is still working on these issues, and not every chapter has been tested on the current build.

You can go ahead and download this unofficial PC port from here.
