GitHub’s ‘zorde23’ has released a new major update for the unofficial PC port of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. With this update, PC gamers can fully enjoy the first three Uncharted games on PC.
The biggest feature of Patch 0.3.5, at least in my opinion, is the inclusion of Keyboard or Xbox icons. We’ve seen a lot of PC recomps offering support for the mouse and keyboard. However, very few of them change the in-game icons.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PC V0.3.5 has proper keyboard or Xbox icons in all three games. In the launcher’s Controls window, “Icons in the game” switches the PlayStation button prompts in texts and in the HUD to your keys or to Xbox buttons in the game’s own style. After changing the option or your keys, you can close the game and start it again.
This is such a great quality-of-life change, and I’d love to see more games add it. Almost all the unofficial PC ports we’ve covered have keyboard and mouse support. But adding proper in-game icons takes things a step further. This shows that the person behind this unofficial PC port truly cares about their work. And that deserves praise, even if he uses AI tools.
For those wondering, with this PC port, you can now play Uncharted 3 from start to finish at 60 FPS. Uncharted 1 and 2 also run great, though there are a couple of minor issues with them. Still, right now, this is the best way to experience the first three Uncharted games on any platform.
You can go ahead and download the latest version of this unofficial PC port from here.
