Intel used two different manufacturing processes for some of its Comet Lake “Core i5” processor SKUs

Intel recently announced its Comet Lake-S series of processors for the Desktop in i9, i7, i5 and i3 flavors. It has come to our attention (via TechPowerUp) that some of the Intel Comet Lake Core i5 processors are not exactly the same as other SKUs, meaning the “silicon” beneath the heat spreader can be different based on the chip it is manufactured. Intel drops the fancy “Dodecahedron” design packaging of the Core i9-9900K processor

In a strange turn of events, INTEL recently issued a product change notice (PCN) announcing that it is discontinuing the fancy “dodecahedron” packaging of its previous gen flagship Core i9-9900K processor. This translucent “twelve-sided” package debuted with the Core i9-9900K CPU as a direct response to AMD’s elaborate Threadripper lineup packaging. Australian Competition and Consumer Commission instructs local outlets to issue Fallout 76 refunds

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued a statement specifically addressing an agreement with the local media outlet, EB Games. The statement proclaims that gamers who have been denied a refund for Fallout 76 from the local software retailer are now legally entitled to receive their money back. AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT & Ryzen 5 3600XT ‘Matisse Refresh’ desktop CPUs have been listed by an online French retailer

Previously I shared some info and details on AMD’s upcoming “Matisse refresh” processors, and their respective leaked clock speeds. This new “refresh” Ryzen 3000 lineup will include three SKUs:  AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT (Ryzen 9 3900X Replacement), the AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT (Ryzen 7 3800X Replacement), and the AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT (Ryzen 5 3600X Replacement).
