Great news for The Witcher fans, as CD Projekt RED has reduced the price of The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition to $29.99/€29.99/GBP19.99/AUD29.99. And do we have to remind you that the GOG version does not feature any kind of DRM for this amazing RPG? Perfect, just perfect. And imagine that – a developer reducing a game’s price, even though its working on some modding tools that will be released for that game at a later date. Damn, CD Projekt RED is really spoiling us. Talented modder MaLDo has released a new set of comparison screenshots between Crysis 2’s Official HD textures and the ones from his upcoming HD Texture Pack. As you can see below, MaLDo’s textures blow Crytek’s HD ones out of the water and provide a much richer, and crisper look to Crysis 2. Crytek seems to have learned its lesson as Crysis 3 features textures of higher quality (than those of Crysis 2), but we can’t wait to see whether there is any room for improvements in that upcoming game and what will it look like with MaLDo’s touch. MaLDo has also expressed his disappointment over various PC gamers and their aggresive comments on his blog, so be sure to read what he had to say. Truth be told, MaLDo is right and PC gamers/fanboys should be patient and grateful that there are modders, willing to go the extra mile to improve a game’s visuals. Enjoy the following comparison shots! Continue reading MaLDo puts Crytek to shame – New Comparison Between Crysis 2 Modded & Vanilla→
Now this is simply great. ThereIsaCanal has created an incredible Max Payne 3 live action short film. This is basically a parody for Rockstar’s third-person shooter and – ironically – captures perfectly the game’s mood and tone. The highlight of the film is the cut-scenes that are almost identical to those of Max Payne 3. Oh, and Fabiana looks sexier than ever. Enjoy! Avemagnadude has created an incredible Minecraft machinima movie that is based on the E3 cinematic trailer of Assassin’s Creed III. Needless to say that this movie looks amazingly great, so be sure to check it out. This machinima reminded us of all the LEGO games that are based on other franchises, and and let us tell you that a LEGO Assassin’s Creed game would be kind interesting. But that won’t happen anytime soon. Avemagnadude had also recreated the Reveal trailer of Assassin’s Creed III, that can also be viewed below. Enjoy! Activision and Treyarch have revealed some new details about Black Ops 2 PC, as well as the game’s minimum system requirements. According to the developers, Black Ops 2 has moved on to the DX11 API (that is backward compatible with DX10) and won’t support both DX9 cards and Windows XP. This is really shocking as Black Ops 2 does not sport next-generation graphics. In fact, it looks mediocre, even for multi-platform titles standards. The developers went ahead and explained their decision to move on to DX11, stating that Microsoft’s new API is leaner than DX9 and requires less CPU time to do the same amount of work.
