TeaserPlay has released a concept art trailer, showcasing what The Witcher 4 could look like in Unreal Engine 5. Since CD Projekt RED is actually using Unreal Engine 5 for its next The Witcher game, it will be interesting to see whether it will be able to surpass what is being showcased here.
As usual, TeaserPlay has recreated some environments from The Witcher 3. Moreover, they have used a 3D model that resembles the one for Geralt. Additionally, they have used some of Unreal Engine 5’s tech features, such as Lumen, Nanite, Ray Tracing and Metahuman.
The end result is quite cool, though I’m sure some will scream like crazy. But hey, take it for what it actually is… a fan concept art trailer and nothing more.
Lastly, you can check out TeaserPlay’s previous fan remakes/recreations in Unreal Engine 5. For instance, you can find remakes and concept trailers of Red Dead Revolver, Far Cry 7, Dark Souls 4 and Resident Evil 4 Remake. I know that was said as a joke but actually The Witcher 1 comes closest to following the atmosphere of the books. I know it looks like crap by today’s standards but in terms of immersion it’s far better than Witcher 2 and copy-pasted overblown Witcher 3 which in my mind is burdened by the pseudo open world with samey quests.

If you think the quests are samey you didnt play the game. Its celebrated for deep, diverse, and varied quests. seriously calling TW3 samey makes zero sense.

Compared to the “100 mods videos”, this at least shows some tangible improvement somewhere.
Some parts look way too postprocessed with color filters, but also some landscapes look damn amazing.
