Halo: Combat Evolved, Watch_Dogs and Manhunt look great with Reshade Ray Tracing

YouTube’s members ‘Digital Dreams’ and ‘EiermannTelevision’ has shared some videos, showing Halo: Combat Evolved, the first Watch Dogs game and Manhunt with Reshade Ray Tracing. These videos are using the alpha version of Pascal Gilcher’s Reshade mode; a mod that adds cool ray tracing/path tracing effects to pretty much all DX9, DX10 and DX11 games. As we’ve already stated, although JUMP FORCE suffers from some serious console porting issues (that have not been addressed yet), it runs smoothly on the PC. The first Halo game has a special place in my heart. I remember when it was still a PC-exclusive and reading all about it in Voodoo Magazine. At that time, I had a Voodoo 2, Voodoo Banshee was the first 2D/3D card from 3DFX available to the market and Voodoo 3 was not released yet. Much like Voodoo 2, Voodoo Banshee was only supporting 16-bit colours but that was about to change as Halo was one of the few games that showcased – at least back then – the big difference between 16-bit and 32-bit colour rendering. Microsoft has initiated actions to protect its Halo intellectual property due to Halo Online ElDewrito 0.6

343 Industries has issued an official statement about the release of Halo Online ElDewrito 0.6, stating that Microsoft has initiated actions to protect its Halo intellectual property. 343 Industries and Microsoft have clarified that while they do support mods and fan remakes, they will not allow copyrighted material to be distributed for free (as is the case with Halo Online ElDewrito).
