Quixel shows photorealistic real-time next-gen visuals by using Photogrammetry in Unreal Engine 4

At GDC 2019, Quixel introduced Rebirth; a real-time cinematic produced by Quixel, harnessing the power of Unreal Engine and real-world scans from the Megascans Icelandic collection. Unreal Engine 4-powered VR space-survival title, Homebound, releases on February 16th

Quixel announced today that Homebound, their intense, debut space-survival VR title, will be available for gamers to download for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift via Steam on February 16th. Quixel’s Jungle Environment – Direct-Feed Screenshots in Glorious 4K Resolution

Yesterday we shared a video showing off Quixel’s latest environment created with Megascans in Unreal Engine 4. As we all know, YouTube greatly degrades visuals, therefore today we are sharing the first direct feed images from that map. While Quixel’s environment is not as realistic – in terms of colours – as Crysis, it can be easily described as a true next-gen version of the first Far Cry game. This Is One of the Best Forest Environments You’ve Ever Seen, Powered by Unreal Engine 4 & Megascans

Quixel has released a new video, showing a jungle environment in Unreal Engine 4 using Megascans. Megascans is a massive online library of thousands of physically based material scans and fully scanned 3D assets. A similar ‘scanning’ technique was used in the beautiful ‘The Vanishing of Ethan Carter’ from The Astronauts. And this latest environment from Quixel looks spectacular, rivalling those CRYENGINE-powered jungle environments of the Crysis series. Enjoy!
