What If Halo 4 Was Powered By Unreal Engine 4

What’s the best way to show off your skills? But of course by re-creating famous games in different engines. Polycount’s member ‘Hristo Rusanov‘ has shared some images from his WIP map based on Halo 4. This map is being created in Unreal Engine 4, thus giving us a glimpse at what a Halo game would look like in Epic’s engine. It undoubtedly looks cool, so be sure to check it out. Hristo Rusanov also shared some high-resolution textures for an outdoor environment, thought we don’t know if these textures will be used in his Halo 4 map. Enjoy! Lara Croft, Master Chief & Assassin Connor Are Put Up Against Mario In This Live Action Short Film

Lara-Masterchief-Connor

YouTube’s ‘CorridorDigital’ has posted a pretty cool live action short in which Lara Croft, Master Chief and Connor from Assassin’s Creed III try to steal Mario’s powerups. The cosplay costumes in this film are gorgeous, as are the CG effects. Mario’s moves however are quite… bad. And when I say bad, I mean really bad. Kudos to our reader ‘GhostRiderLSOV’ for informing us and Kotaku for spotting it. Enjoy! Halo 4 – Main Theme ‘To Galaxy’ Remix

Rob Platt (also known in YouTube as Pl511) has informed us about his latest collaboration with Plasma3Music, as these two fellas have decided to remix Halo 4’s main theme. As Rob described, in this remix, Plasma3Music and he tried to keep it faithful to the original version while adding their own touches and styles to the theme. Needless to say that this is a piece of art that you deserves your attention, even if you’re not fans of Halo. But let’s be honest here; even though some of you may hate the game, its score is among the best we’ve heard in a video-game. Enjoy! Continue reading Halo 4 – Main Theme ‘To Galaxy’ Remix

Halo 4 PC Denied; Not Coming To The PC According To Microsoft

Well, it was to be expected. Halo 4 has just been launched on X360 and in attempt to further push its sales, Microsoft has stated that the game will not come to the PC. According to Penny-Arcade, a Microsoft spokesperson told them that Halo 4 will not be ported to the PC platform because the game has been designed for the X360 system. Which sounds similar to Microsoft’s excuse about the – temporarily – absence of Alan Wake from the PC (remember that sofa-thing and how the game was meant to be played?). George Broussard, games rating systems, and what devs believe about the different score scales

Now this is hilarious. Remember George Broussard? You know, the lead designer of Duke Nukem Forever and co-founder of 3D Reamls? Well, it seems that Broussard is a Halo 4 fan as he bashed a reviewer for giving 343 Industries’ title a ‘mere’ 70/100 score. Although we don’t cover console games, we can’t simply sit back and let things explode without having a good laugh, right? After all, the final version of DNF was average at best and didn’t justify that legendary ‘released WID’ moto of 3D Realms, so who is Broussard to say that reviewers are wrong? Continue reading George Broussard, games rating systems, and what devs believe about the different score scales
