Valve adds moderation to Steam after Borderlands review bombing

Since the announcement of Borderlands 3 as yet another timed exclusivity deal with the Epic Store, some players have performed mass protest by review bombing the Steam store pages of the first 2 Borderlands  games with negative reviews. Unlike previous attempts where similar protests have occured, Valve has now decided to implemented a system of review moderation to address the matter.

Gearbox has announced that Borderlands: Game of the Year and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Ultra HD will be coming out on April 3rd. The former will be free to all owners of Borderlands while the latter will be available for free to those owning Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Borderlands – New Update Completely Removes SecuRom DRM

Well, as the saying goes, better late than never. Gearbox and 2K Games have released a new update for Borderlands that removes the annoying SecuRom DRM that plagued that game. Not only that, but Gearbox has imported SecuRom DLC keys into Steam, meaning that you can activate your DLC if you it outside of Steam. This is what Borderlands was originally meant to look like; art style inspired by short film ‘Codehunters’

Gearbox’s Borderlands is perhaps one of the best cartoon-ish games. Borderlands uses a different technique for its cartoon-ish like visuals than cel-shading, but the final result is pretty close to it in our opinion. Needless to say that we don’t think there is something wrong calling Borderlands a cel-shaded game (as that term is used metaphorically to describe all cartoon-ish games with outlines), but that’s just us. Did you know, however, that the game had – originally – a more realistic look to it?
