This is perhaps the funniest moment in Battlefield 3

We’ve seen plenty of funny moments in Battlefield 3, but this one could easily be the best ‘WTF’ moment in BF3. Look and behold what happens when a jet get’s stuck on a roof. There was apparently a bug with the collision physics and thankfully, YouTube’s member ‘AnglSummer4’ managed to capture this hilarious moment. Oh, and kudos to the pilot for re-entering his jet at the end and flying away to the skies. Awesome stuff! Continue reading This is perhaps the funniest moment in Battlefield 3

Mass Effect 3 Demo coming in February 14th

It’s really funny but BioWare has cleverly revealed something that most Mass Effect 3 fans have been waiting for. Our beloved company released today a Kinect video for Mass Effect 3, in which they reveal that Mass Effect 3’s demo will hit Xbox Live in February 14th. In other words, it is coming in a month or – if you like – in the very same day that Dear Esther is slated for release. Continue reading Mass Effect 3 Demo coming in February 14th

Oh boy, here we go again. We were delighted to hear that the PC version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning would be receiving a demo. However, we didn’t know that it would be distributed, exclusively, via EA’s Origin service. So, those interested in giving a go to 38 Studios’ upcoming action RPG will have to install EA’s distribution service. We know that some of you hate Origin, so there you have it; you’ve been warned. Continue reading Good news: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning PC demo is out now – Bad news: It’s available only via Origin

Surprise surprise: Mass Effect 3 won’t appear on Steam; will require Origin

Call us unimpressed but we saw this coming. And frankly, it’s natural as EA wants to establish their digital distribution service. As the title suggests, EA’s Origin will be required for all PC editions of Mass Effect 3, physical or digital. Not only that, but Mass Effect 3 will not appear on Steam. EA and BioWare stated that Mass Effect 3 will be available through both Origin and third-party digital retailers, but not via Valve’s distribution service. Does this ring any bell? Duke Nukem 3D comes to CryEngine 3 with the Nuked Crysis Mod

Now that’s what we’re talking about. Modder Anzer has just released the first screenshots of his upcoming mod for Crysis 2, Nuked Crysis. What is Nuked Crysis you ask? Well, it’s a re-imagining of Duke Nukem 3D in CryEngine 3, with Crysis 2’s assets. Anzer released some comparison shots and we have to say that Nuked Crysis is true to Duke Nukem 3D’s spirit. Anzer’s goal is to at least finish the first map (and maybe the next two as this re-mapping procedure needs a lot of time). This is simply amazing and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. No ETA has been announced as of yet, so stay tuned for more news about this promising mod! CryEngine 3 is a really amazing engine and as we’ve said and before, we are shocked that most studios are not taking advantage of it. So, today we bring you some new screenshots from the works of USSR_GRAND, neo83_gr, rGOt, darkchazz, chicken, iSqueezee, bello2185, ShadosProd, Lavizh, and [P.W.N]UltraNOOB. Enjoy and let’s hope that some developers will license this engine and put it to good use! Continue reading Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [January 8th – 14th]

Battlefield 3: The most epic or the most lucky jet flyby, you decide

The key to success is timing and precision guys. Well, that’s what my teacher used to tell me but I believe that, along those things, luck is pretty much essential. You can be the best pilot in the world, but you sure as hell need to be lucky to achieve a dive like the one of the following video. YouTube’s member ‘2cgamingvids’ has witnessed the impossible; an epic jet dive that could very well lead to a crash. That player flying the jet is either one hell of a pilot, or really lucky. Oh, and the ‘jet-drifting’ at the end of this dive was simply amazing. So, what do you think? Epic or extremely lucky? Continue reading Battlefield 3: The most epic or the most lucky jet flyby, you decide

Crysis 2 SP Continuum Mod Beta Released; Behold the power of CryEngine 3

Remember those mind-blowing carage shots of a Crysis 2 mod that were featured in one of our Weekly CryEngine 3 Galleries? No? Shame on you. Modder Tiesto is developing one of the best SP total conversions of Crysis 2 and has released its beta version. To put it simple; this is the best total conversion of Crysis 2. Hell, it even puts Crysis 2 itself to shame. According to the modder, this is only a beta, thus it does not contain many missions. In fact, the beta features only the Continuum map (all the other maps will be in the final release). Continue reading Crysis 2 SP Continuum Mod Beta Released; Behold the power of CryEngine 3
