Deep Silver has released the first screenshots and a teaser trailer for Techland’s upcoming Dead Island game, Dead Island: Riptide. According to the publisher, Dead Island: Riptide is a spin-off and not a sequel to the first Dead Island game. After escaping in a helicopter to the safety of a military ship, a furious storm hits and the virus suddenly spreads throughout the crew. Perfect World Entertainment has released some PAX screenshots – and a trailer – for its upcoming free-to-play MMORPG, Neverwinter. The publisher has also confirmed an early 2013 release date for Neverwinter, providing developer Cryptic Studios even more time to add additional content and extra features that the developer team would love to have at launch. Codemasters today released a new developer diary – and a new set of screenshots – for F1 2012, the next game in the award-winning series which will launch in the UK on September 21st for X360, PS3 and PC. The new developer diary details the team’s objectives to “break new boundaries” and “match real life” as it introduces a wide range of new features and improvements that star in the game. DICE and Electronic Arts have released a flythrough video from Battlefield 3’s Armored Kill Alborz Mountain map. This video highlights the team’s work on increasing the terrain fidelity in the game and showcases some amazing visuals that are powered by Frostbite 2 engine.
