4Divinity has shared the official Gamescom 2026 gameplay trailer for The Defiant. The Defiant is a single-player narrative FPS set against the Chinese front of World War II. The trailer is pretty short, but single-player fans will definitely want to check it out.
In The Defiant, you step onto a land soaked with the warm blood of war. You will explore huge snowy forests, guarded roads, and dangerous villages behind enemy lines. In these places, you’ll feel the intense and serious atmosphere of the War of Resistance against the Japanese invasion.
Players will be able to use many different guns, such as rifles, assault rifles, pistols, and machine guns. Classic weapons like the Hanyang Rifle, the Mauser Military Pistol, and the MP18 Submachine Gun will all be included, along with other guns from China’s modern history. Players will use these weapons to survive and fight their way through a dangerous battlefield.
There is currently no ETA on when The Defiant will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
