Rise of the Triad – Patch 1.5.1 Enables Crossplay Between Steam & GOG, Enables 64-bit Compatibility

Interceptor Entertainment has released a new patch for Rise of the Triad. This patch will update your game’s version to 1.5.1, and comes with Crossplay Multiplayer support between the game’s Steam and GOG versions. 3D Realms and Interceptor Entertainment today revealed Bombshell; a top-down action role-playing game for PC and PlayStation 4. In case you’re wondering then yes. Boom: Interceptor Entertainment Has Acquired Apogee/3D Realms [UPDATE]

Now this is getting really interesting. Interceptor Entertainment was ready to announce a new Duke Nukem game when Gearbox filed a lawsuit against it and 3D Realms. And while we’re still waiting to find out what will happen with Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction, Interceptor’s Owner, Game Director and CEO announced that his company has acquired both Apogee and 3D Realms. Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction May Never Happen, Gearbox sues 3D Realms & Interceptor

A new Duke Nukem game was scheduled for a public reveal in two days, however this title may never see the light of day. Gearbox – who currently owns the rights of the Duke Nukem IP – has sued both 3D Realms and Interceptor Entertainment for making unlawful use of Gearbox’s IP.
