Itc.io user ‘Almost There Games’ has just released an unofficial PC port of Forza Horizon 2, which came out exclusively on Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2014. This PC port is based on the Xbox One version, and even after a whole decade, it can look gorgeous.
This unofficial PC port, called Azimuth, changes Xbox system calls so the game can work with Windows and DirectX 12. Right now, it supports game version 1.0.0.64. So, that’s the version you’ll need to own and use. Otherwise, it won’t work.
According to the team behind it, this PC port is not that demanding. In its current state, it can run at 720p and 60 FPS on a Steam Deck. It can also reach 1080p at 30 FPS. So, those owning a mid-tier PC system will be able to enjoy it at 60 FPS.
You can pick your screen size and set the frame rate to 30 or 60 FPS. There are also three graphics modes. Low mode uses lower settings than the Xbox One version. Default mode matches the Xbox One look. High mode adds better shadows and reflections. It also lets shadows reach much farther and uses better car models and texture filtering. You can also change the anti-aliasing. The options are off, 2x MSAA, and 4x MSAA.
To get started, you’ll have to download Azimuth from here. Once you have downloaded it, you can launch it and select the game folder. That folder must contain the files and folders the launcher needs. As I said, the PC port is only compatible with game version 1.0.0.64.
In case you are into projects like these, you can also download the unofficial PC ports of Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Strikers. We’ll also soon get PC ports of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
But what about non-Super Mario games? Well, right now, you can download the unofficial PC ports of Crash Team Racing and Duke Nukem: Zero Hour. You can also play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Majora’s Mask, Perfect Dark, and Jak & Daxter.
These past few weeks, I also shared the unofficial PC versions of The Simpsons Game, Peter Jackson’s King Kong, Gears of War 3, and Bloodborne. Let’s also not forget the PC ports of P.T., Virtua Fighter Arcade, God of War 3 Remastered, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and Metroid Prime.
For our SNES fans, we also have a PC port of Star Fox. We also got a PC port of F-Zero. Brian Tate has also brought the three classic SNES Donkey Kong Country games to PC. Plus, we got a PC port of Mother 2/EarthBound.
In September 2026, we shared a lot of unofficial PC ports. So, you can download and enjoy on PC Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, WET, The Darkness, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Mercenaries, GTA: Liberty City Stories, Fable 2, Burnout Revenge, and Lost Odyssey.
And that’s not all of them. We also have the unofficial PC ports of Mario Party 4, Sonic Unleashed, GoldenEye 007, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Silent Hill, and Super Smash Bros. 64. In July 2026, we shared the unofficial PC ports of Gears of War 2 and Syphon Filter. Then, in August 2026, we shared the PC ports of Diddy Kong Racing and Ace Combat 6. Let’s also not forget the unofficial PC versions of Wave Race 64, Blue Dragon, and Pikmin. Finally, you can download the PC ports of Ninja Gaiden 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Tekken 3.
Have fun!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
