YouTube’s member ‘Chadtronic’ has shared a video of Sonic the Hedgehog GDK – a fan-made Sonic game with a first-person perspective that is powered by Unreal Engine – running with Oculus Rift. Unreal Engine 3-powered indie Strike Vector looks great, aerial combat game developed by four people

Strike Vector Team is currently working on an indie aerial combat game that is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 and looks really cool. Strike Vector’s main focus is its multiplayer mode, though there will be a solo campaign for all fans of SP modes. A debut trailer with in-game footage was released a couple of days ago, that can be viewed below, and was spotted by Eurogamer. The team behind it is not willing to launch a Kickstarter campaign for it, so it will be interesting to see how things will unfold. First Multiplayer Footage For Command & Conquer: Renegade’s free remake, Renegade X

Back in January, we informed you about the release of Renegade X: Black Dawn. Renegade X: Black Dawn is a remake of C&C: Renegade that is powered by Unreal Engine 3 and is available for free. Awesome, right? What you didn’t know though was that the team behind it has been working hard for its MP mode and has finally released the first MP footage of it. As its description reads, this video discusses the new gameplay plans for Renegade X and its upcoming multiplayer release. In addition, this video includes the first-ever footage of alpha testing. We should also note that Renegade X will feature structures that are destroyable  and repairable, as well as stealth units. Enjoy! THQ is currently recruiting for its Montreal team that is said to be working on an unannounced title with game design veteran Patrice Desilets, best known for the Prince of Persia relaunch as well as the Assassin’s Creed series. We seriously can’t believe there is noone taking advantage of Unreal Engine 3 (and CryEngine 3). Okay, there are plenty of UE3 games but when was the last time you saw something unique? Something out of the ordinary? Something besides another brown-ish shooter game? Something like Mirror’s Edge perhaps? Well, time for a slight change. Christian Davis, Associate Environment Artist at Junction Point Studios, has created a high quality model of the Blastoise Pokemon. Naturally, Davis felt the need to test his model on UDK and the following image was the result of that. And damn, does this looks impressive. Davis used UDK’s Foliage Showcase, which means that all assets other than Blastoise and the pokeball are property of Epic Games. Enjoy! Epic Games and Giant IronHorse release a new Unreal Engine 3 DirectX 11 Benchmark

Epic Games and Giant IronHorse released a new, DX11 benchmark tool for Unreal Engine 3. This demo is from the Chinese game ‘Passion Leads Army’ that is developed by Giant IronHorse and showcases PhysX effects, tessellation, Horizon-Based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO), and Bokeh Depth of Field, and all DX11 features that are supported by this game.
