YouTube’s ‘TheSpyHood’ has shared a video, showing Crysis 3, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Battlefield 5, Far Cry 5 and more running in glorious 8K resolution. Contrary to the previous 8K videos we’ve shared in the past, however, TheSpyHood only used High settings in order to run these games on the AMD Radeon VII. AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition runs Crysis 3 with an average of 46fps at 1440p on Very High Settings

YouTube’s ‘DudeRandom84’ got his hands on an AMD Radeon Frontier Edition and decided to put Crysis 3 to the test. DudeRandom84 used the game’s Very High settings at 1440p with 2xMSAA, and the AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Eition was simply unable to offer an optimal gaming experience. £45 CPU & £110 GPU Run Crysis 3 At High Settings On ‘Consoles’ Framerates

By now, most of you are aware of the underwhelming hardware of current-gen consoles. And while PC gaming hardware has surpassed beyond what consoles could ever dream (hardware-wise), DigitalFoundry decided to experiment with a new budget CPU in order to find out whether it would be able to deliver a ‘console’ experience. And to everyone’s surprise, a system with a £45 CPU coupled and a £110 GPU is able to pull almost constant 30fps at 1080p and with High settings. Hell, if you pack this budget CPU with a high-end GPU, you are looking at a performance greater than the one found on current-gen consoles, something that – in our opinion – says a lot. Ah, it’s that time of year again. 2013 was a good year, full of surprises. It was also the year we got our first ‘next-gen’ titles, so it’s time now to see which are the top 10 PC optimized games of 2013. Before beginning, let us be crystal clear on this; we are not judging their gameplay mechanics. No no no no. We’re focusing on their tech side.
