Disappointing Sales – Crysis 3 PC Has Just Passed 100.000 Sold Copies In Its Homeland

Crysis 2 v4

Well, most of us saw that coming. It seems that the PC version of Crysis 3 did not sell well, despite Crytek’s efforts to offer mind-blowing graphics and visuals. Yes, the PC version of Crysis 3 looks gorgeous but as a game itself… well… you know now… different Psycho… a f’ed up storyline… laughable attempts to connect Crysis 2 and 3 with Crysis 1. Let’s just say that we were disappointed with it, and it apparently we weren’t the only ones feeling that way. Crysis 3 Will Not Be Getting A Mod SDK After All

Crysis 3 v3
As you may have noticed, we haven’t shared any mods for Crysis 3 this whole time as… well… there aren’t any. Sure thing, modders have been experimenting with the Free SDK, however the true meaning of modding a game was absent all this time. And unfortunately, we won’t see any mods at all for Crysis 3 as Crytek announced that it won’t be releasing any Mod SDK for its latest title. This is what Uncharted 3 – and racing games – could look like in CryEngine 3

CryEngine 3 v2
Ah, the power of CryEngine 3. You know though, it’s really funny. This bloody engine can push some of the most spectacular visuals we’ve seen, yet developers are not taking advantage of it. Guess Crytek is overcharging CE3’s license, otherwise we can’t find any reason at all for not using it. But anyway, modder ‘PianoPolish’ was utterly impressed by Naughty Dogs’ Uncharted and decided to create a map that was inspired by the game’s ‘Desert’ level. On the other hand, modder ‘wjmoosting’ has shared some gorgeous shots from what could easily be a racing game. Furthermore, we’ve included some shots from modders codecode and ReVan1199, as well as a video from YouTube’s member ‘MegaVIDEONATOR’. Enjoy!
