CryZENx has released a new build from his fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5. The catch here is that this early build is currently available only to his Patreon members. However, and once it’s stable, it will be made available to the public.
In this build, CryZENx changed alot of stuff. For instance, he changed the colors and the grass, and added more stuff like better road texture and details on it. There is also a better waterfall now . Furthermore, CryZENx added BOTW style of music. At night time, you will get a different music style according to the weather.

That’s what they all say, but it’s nicer to keep milking patreon than to commit to public release. Such are often the fate of pay-walled software. Take RTGI for example, it’s been kept in “pre alpha” state and locked behind paywalls for about 5 years now, and the guy has 6500 people each paying him 5$ monthly. That’s $32,500,00 monthly earnings. The guy is never gonna release his precious shader publicly.
I’m sure a lot of those people are only temporary patrons though. Ones that pay once so they can just download the current version.
Yes, but his constant gain of new patrons has kept his number steadily between 6000-7000 for over a year now.
Surely some of his patrons can leak some of these “alphas” to the internet right?
He lowered his RTGI paywall from 20$ in 2019-2020 to 5$ now though.

I don’t care, i don’t pay for mods and if such paid mods exist i will pirate regardless, so long as what they create is good that is.
Mods intended purpose were to share our creations’ ideas with our fellow gamers… freely (no need to pirate ?) but one-day, some of these lame púnks got the dirty idea to take advantage of this community effort and started a new campaign for profit.
It’s not “your” creation. And pirating still counts as free, i don’t care about lamos who donate money to have acess to beta testing. If the mod/fan game is good, it will come out regardless or be shut down by Nintendo, whatever comes first (and in this case a donor can just leak the beta/alpha build).

Patreon. One of the worst creations in the history of the internet. It allows morons to be milked even easier and more than they were before.

Not defending Patreon, but they are basically an extention of major banks and finantial institutions. If the banks don’t want you receiving money, they let Patreon know and the rest is history.
