Electronic Arts has released a new set of breathtaking screenshots for Battlefield 3’s upcoming DLC, Armored Kill. The company has also revealed Battlefield 3 Premium Edition. This all-encompassing offer combines the original Battlefield 3 game, all Battlefield 3 Premium content including five themed digital expansion packs, and a Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Head-Start Kit that is custom-designed to help jump start players who are new to multiplayer by automatically unlocking 15 different weapons, gadgets and vehicle upgrades. Capcom has also revealed some new screenshots and a Gamescom 2012 trailer for Devil May Cry that introduces Vergil, twin brother of Dante and leader of demon-fighting rebel group, The Order. DmC promises to retain the series’ signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalised gameplay system as players encounter the game’s devilish mix of enemies and navigate the rich, interactive environment. Capcom has released a new set of screenshots and a Gamescom 2012 trailer for Lost Planet 3. Lost Planet 3 introduces Jim, a rig pilot who leaves Earth to take on a hazardous but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III. Working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC) who are preparing the planet for colonization, Jim joins his fellow pioneers at the Coronis base and begins surveying the uncharted terrain and obtaining samples of the planet’s energy supply – Thermal Energy. Today we bring you new shots from modders the_grim, Puppy, Synce, airage, hostilis, TheChan, axeldev, sunnlok, walid-payne and Thomy. Our highlight this week is Puppy’s tropical level. In all honesty, CryEngine 3 has achieved photorealism with this tropical shot from Puppy and we can’t wait till we get our games looking like that. What’s really amazing here is that Puppy used all materials that are currently available in CryEngine 3’s SDK. No custom textures, no new high resolution assets. Everything you see was available when the SDK got released, meaning that this IQ could be achieved months ago. You may remember a similar shot that was featured in an earlier CryEngine 3 gallery but this is the final version of Puppy’s level. Crytek’s UK Artist, Scott Homer, has been working on recreating some Bioshock levels in CryEngine 3. We’ve featured an early screenshot of this project in one of our weekly CryEngine 3 galleries, however the artist has released some new screenshots that surely deserve the spotlight. Cry-ScottH plans to create a handful of areas, connected by glass walkways spanning between various areas of Rapture and as you may have guessed, he’s using CryEngine 3 to put the level together.
