Lost Planet 3 – PC Performance Analysis

When Lost Planet 3 was showcased for the first time, everyone thought that it was a Dead Space wannabe. And you know what? You can’t really blame them as Lost Planet 3 shares an identical environment with Visceral Games’ third-person game. Not only that, but there are even more similarities between these two games; from the opening scene to the inventory HUD and the claustrophobic feeling (Lost Planet was an action game and not a horror-wannabe title). Lost Planet 3 was definitely inspired by Dead Space, though it also comes with some additional features such as mechs, a grappling hook, more action sequences than its ‘rival’, a main character that looks like Nicolas Cage, a generic camp, and a really horrible lip-syncing system.

Capcom has released a new set of screenshots from the SP campaign of Lost Planet 3. Lost Planet 3 introduces Jim, a rig pilot who leaves Earth to take on a hazardous but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III. Working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC) who are preparing the planet for colonization, Jim joins his fellow pioneers at the Coronis base and begins surveying the uncharted terrain and obtaining samples of the planet’s energy supply – Thermal Energy. Capcom has released a multiplayer trailer for Lost Planet 3. The MP mode of Lost Planet 3 promises to let players duke it out across unforgiving landscapes. Lost Planet 3 Delayed Two Months, Scheduled For An August 27th Release

Capcom has issued a new press release for Lost Planet 3, in which the Japanese company revealed the new release date for it. According to Capcom, the game is currently planned for an August 27th release, two months after its previous release (which was on June 25th). Capcom has not revealed any reasons behind this delay, but our guess is that the company decided to push it back in order to give Remember Me a few extra months. Let’s not forget that Remember Me is a new IP, and Capcom will have to play its cards right unless it wants to kill it from the get-go. Lost Planet 3 Launches On June 25th

Capcom has announced today that Lost Planet 3 will be releasing across North America on June 25 and in Europe on June 28. The good news here is that the PC version won’t be delayed, meaning that all versions (X360, PS3 and PC) will be launching in the same day. In addition, Capcom has released a new trailer for its title that can be viewed below. According to the press release, the trailer continues the story of Jim Peyton’s time on E.D.N.
