Alien: Isolation’s Engine Supports Up To A Million Particles Via Computer Shaders

In a new video interview – shared by AMD – The Creative Assembly’s developers shared some new information about the engine powering the latest Alien game. Michael Bailey, Alien: Isolation’s Lead Engine Programmer, claimed that the game’s engine supports up to a million particles thanks to its use of computer shaders, and talked a bit about the game’s lighting system. Sony Online Entertainment Sold to Private Investment Firm

Columbus Nova, a private investment firm based in New York, has reportedly purchased Sony Online Entertainment, of Everquest fame, renaming the developer Daybreak Game Studio. SOE was recently most well known for H1Z1 as well as PlanetSide 2 and were also developing a sequel in their EverQuest franchise. Devolver Digital has revealed – via a cryptic message – that Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will be released on March 10th. A couple of hours ago, Devolver shared a telephone number with an awkward extension. Ringing that number will get you a garbled message with one word that can be clearly heard; March. Battlefield: Hardline – Official PC System Requirements Revealed

Battlefield: Hardline’s open beta phase starts tomorrow and Electronic Arts revealed today the game’s PC system requirements. GSync Achieved on a Display without a GSync Module

A couple of weeks ago, an ASUS Norway Support rep inadvertently leaked an early build of the NVIDIA mobile driver. This mobile driver was build (version 346.87) focused specifically on their line of  G751 laptops.
