Intel’s 8th generation desktop CPUs to offer up to 25% performance boost in multi-threaded PC games

Intel has issued an official press release in which the company claimed that its new 8th generation desktop CPUs will be up to 25% faster than its 7th generation desktop CPUs in multi-threaded games. Intel used Microsoft’s Gears of War 4 as an example, in which the new Intel Core i7 8700K performed 25% faster than the Intel Core i7 7700K. AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 performs almost identically to the AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition

And the moment of truth has come. I mean, we’ve had so many articles for the AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition and we’ve been criticized for publishing articles about a non-gaming GPU. Intel Core i7 8700K reported to offer 11% faster single-thread & 51% faster multi-thread performance than the i7 7700K

Intel has hosted a training for retailers in China for its new upcoming Coffee Lake CPUs and according to some leaked slides, the high-end model – Intel Core i7 8700K – is 11% faster in single-thread and 51% faster in multi-thread operations than its predecessor, the Intel Core i7 7700K processor. These slides also confirmed the rumours that arose a few weeks ago, suggesting that the new Coffee Lake processors will feature more cores than their predecessors. AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 – First gaming benchmarks leak online, performs similarly to the GTX1080

AMD will lift the embargo for its latest gaming variant graphics cards based on the Vega architecture in a few hours and it appears that the first gaming benchmarks for it have been leaked online. According to the benchmarks, the AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 comes close to the FE of GTX1080 but does not beat it in a bunch of them. First 3DMark score for Intel’s new Coffee-Lake i7 8700K, faster than i7 7700K & AMD Ryzen 7 1700X

Intel will officially unveil its 8th generation “Coffee Lake” CPUs on August 21st and it appears that the first 3DMark score has surfaced. According to the physics test – which is a CPU-only test – Intel’s i7 8700K is faster than its predecessor, the Intel Core i7 7700K, as well as both of AMD’s Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 CPUs.
