Powered by the advanced technology of DICE’s proprietary Frostbite 3 engine, Battlefield 4 promises to offer players a glimpse into the future of interactive entertainment – a future that is more human, dramatic and believable than anything before it. The game is planned for a Fall 2013 release on PC, current and next-generation consoles. In other news, a BF4 survey suggests that dinosaurs might be coming to DICE’s FPS as a DLC. Yesterday, EA announced that it has reduced its workforce in various locations, with rumors suggesting that around 100 employees were laid off. This announcement came after a rumor that its EA Partners program will be shut down, and despite EA not commenting on that front, the company has closed two other studios (PopCap Vancouver and Quicklime Games). A new BF4 poster from an EB Games pre-order list has been leaked today, suggesting that DICE’s upcoming shooter will be released at the end of October. EB Games is an Australian website, therefore we’re currently looking at an October 31st release for Australia, October 29th release for the US and November 1st for Europe. Available for £11.99, or at half price for current Subscribers (£5.99), players can extend their personal Star Wars saga, with exciting new playable missions, new features and a striking new planet, Makeb. Playing through Rise of the Hutt Cartel will raise the game’s level cap to 55 and allow players to access a host of new, higher-level group content in the recently released Game Update 2.0: Scum and Villainy.
