SkyDrift is now available on Steam; New Developer Diary Released

Digital Reality’s air racing game has been released on Steam and in order to celebrate its launch, the company has just released its third developer diary. SkyDrift promises to be an intense, high-speed arcade racing game spiced with thrilling combat elements where players will be taken closer than ever before to the world of adrenaline pumping sky-racing. Miner Wars 2081 – Killer Features Trailer

Keen Software released today a new trailer for Miner Wars 2081 that shows the recently added features of the current development version. Soon many of those features will be available in a new public demo. Keen Software is approaching to the end of the pre-alpha phase of development where they focused on technical aspects (VRAGE engine) and they are now moving into the large scale gameplay development phase. Driver: San Francisco PC – The Way It Was Meant To Be Played

By now, most of you will already know that Ubisoft dropped the ball with the PC version of Driver: San Francisco, as that specific version lacks lots of post-processing effects that were present in consoles. Sadly, the company hasn’t released any patch to address this issue but there is seriously no reason to worry as the modding community is here to save the day. Ubisoft’s user ‘Beta_A’ went ahead and used the ‘ENB Series Resident Evil 4 v0074g’ version with Driver: San Francisco and the end result is amazing. Battlefield 3 – PC ‘November 22’ Patch Is Live Now

Electronic Arts and DICE released a major client update for the PC version Battlefield 3 that – among other things – brings massive tweaks to the game’s Squad system. This patch is 484MB in size and will be auto-downloaded next time you start EA’s Origin. In case you encounter any trouble with Origin’s auto-download mechanics, try to update it manually. We should also note that with this patch, PC gamers will be able to highlight the various Squads and select which one they wish to join by selecting a Squad and then clicking the Join Squad button. Overgrowth Alpha 158 Changes

Wolfire Games released a new video that showcases the changes that were made to Overgrowth’s latest alpha version. Last week, David Rosen – Wolfire’s main programmer – continued working on hotspots and although these changes won’t interest most of you, there is some some new gameplay footage from this unique action adventure game, so be sure to check it out. UNIGINE Corp announced today that global war for oil in the flooded post-apocalyptic world of “Oil Rush” will start January 25, 2012 on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. ‘Oil Rush’ is an Indie real-time naval strategy game based on group control, that combines strategic challenge of classic RTS with sheer fun of Tower Defense, and features state-of-an-art visuals. Batman: Arkham City Is Out Now On Steam

Today is the day for all PC Batman fans out there, as Rocksteady’s action third person has finally been released on Steam – at least in North and South America. European fans will have to wait a little bit longer but that’s okay we guess as they have tons of games to play until then. Batman: Arkham City comes with some exclusive PC features, like hardware PhysX, DX11 and support for Nvidia’s 3D Vision, and is priced at 49.99 euros. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – New PC Patch Is Out Now; Not compatible with LAA

The long awaited patch for Skyrim was promised to be released on November 28th for the consoles but PC gamers are getting a new patch until then. Patch 1.2 is slated for release on Thanksgiving and promises to feature new and major features. This new PC patch basically updates the game’s executable file and we should warn everyone that Skyrim won’t be compatible with the LAA fix – a mod to use more than 2GB of RAM – after applying this patch.
