Primal Carnage Gets New Game Maps

Reverb Publishing and Lukewarm Media released today two new game maps for the recent objective-based scramble-for-survival game mode of Primal Carnage, Get to the Chopper. According to its press release, the first map comes in the form of a conversion of “The Falls” (A fan favorite Team Deathmatch map) into an all new Get to the Chopper themed adventure. The other map, “Ruthless” is a new Get to the Chopper exclusive map set high up in the foreboding mountainous peaks of the Island, remember to dress warmly, it’s set to get cold blooded up there. ArmA 3 Gets A Community Guide Video Series

Bohemia Interactive announced that it has joined forces with one of its community members, Andrew Gluck (better known as Dslyecxi from the Arma community group ShackTactical), to create a series of tutorial videos. We’ve featured two of Dslyecxi’s videos in a previous post, so make sure to watch them. Painkiller Hell & Damnation To Receive A Mod-Kit

Nordic Games announced today that The Farm 51’s Painkiller Hell & Damnation will receive a mod-kit in 2013. According to the publisher, the beta of the Mod-Kit is expected to go online early April 2013, and the company is more than happy to enlist all able modders. Painkiller: Hell & Damnation is built on Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 and is one of the few UE3 games offering such mod tools. Sim City Released, Connectivity Issues Spotted, EA Refuses Refunds

Electronic Arts has released the new Sim City game, a title that requires a constant internet connection in order to be enjoyed. And as you may have guessed, the game’s servers took a big hit during its launch day. As a result of that, a lot of gamers were unable to play their newly bought game, and got frustrated with EA’s policy over this issue, as well as possible refunds. GRID 2 – New Screenshots Released

Codemasters has revealed – via the game’s official FB page – a bunch of screenshots for GRID 2. In this huge set, the company included some new, previously unreleased, images that can be viewed below. As you may already know, GRID 2 won’t feature any cockpit view, something that made pretty much everyone upset. GRID 2 is currently planned for a May 2013 release on X360, PS3 and PC. Enjoy! According to Nvidia, the final build of Tomb Raider suffers from performance and stability issues, and we can confirm that there are indeed major issues with this title, even with the latest GeForce Beta drivers. Ray Tracing is considered by a lot as the holy grail of computer graphics and lighting. However, there haven’t been any engines capable of offering such a feature in the last couple of years. And even though we’ve got some path tracing engines lately, like the Brigade 2 Engine, we’ve still have a long way until we get games without those annoying noise side-effects. Or not? According to Samual Lapere, OTOY’s graphics developer, Playstation 4 might be able to offer real-time ray tracing in a couple of games. Torment: Tides of Numenera may well be the most successful Kickstarter campaign ever, as inXile’s upcoming thematic successor to Planescape: Torment has managed to raise $900K and get funded in less than 10 hours. This clearly shows how Kickstarters can work for some companies, and – like pretty much everyone – we’re glad that we’ll be getting a new Torment game. Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 – New Engine To Be Unveiled Next Week

Konami has just revealed – via the game’s official FB page – that the new engine that will be powering the next Pro Evolution Soccer game will be unveiled next week. According to the Japanese company, the next Edge magazine will have the first information about it and will be released on March 14th.
