Facepalm Games today announced that it has hired Tom Jubert – whose credits include Penumbra, Driver: San Francisco and FTL – to lead narrative development on The Swapper. The Swapper is an atmospheric, 2D puzzle-platformer, and was announced recently as one of the PAX10 – the group of indies selected by Penny Arcade’s group of experts for exhibition at PAX Prime on 31st August 2012. Boris Vorontsov, creator of ENBSeries, has been working on a new effect for Skyrim called ‘Sky Lighting.’ Sky Lighting is basically a fake ambient occlusion effect that is introducied to Skyrim but according to the modder, the default Skyrim ambient colors are set wrong and look awful with this new effect “sky lighting” (fake ambient occlusion) of ENBSeries. That’s why Boris released a new mod for those using his ENBSeries mod of Skyrim – called Weather of ENBSeries – that can be downloaded from here. Rockstar revealed today that the Local Justice DLC of Max Payne 3 will be coming to the PC on August 9th. The Local Justice DLC features three new maps for Max Payne 3 Multiplayer, the M4 Assault Rifle, Light Fingers Item and a new São Paulo Police multiplayer faction. The DLC is currently available on X360 and PSN and you can view below some screenshots from the PC version of it. In addition, the Special Edition Pack of Max Payne 3 PC will be available alongside the Local Justice DLC and will feature the Classic Multiplayer Character Pack of eight playable fan favorite multiplayer characters including Mona Sax, Vladimir Lem and Max from Max Payne 2, plus the Disorderly Conduct Multiplayer Weapons Pack. Iranian gaming studio Raspina has released the first official trailer for their upcoming FPS title, Extraterrestrial Armies. E.T Armies is a first person shooter game in a unique science fiction world, designed to show Persian historical themes and rich environments. The main story of E.T Armies is a narrative case about the future human wars to provide the energy resources. Raspina aims to finish the game at the end of this year and as you can see, it features most of modern-day features such as scripted events and lens flares that can blind you. It looks interesting – and those running animations were kind of sweet – albeit a bit rough around the edges. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on it but until we have more information about it, go ahead and enjoy the first screenshots and the debut trailer from it. Milestone has released five new screenshots for WRC 3, showing off the Monte-Carlo stage. WRC 3 features all the rallies in the 2012 WRC calendar, complete with all leading WRC teams and drivers in the revamped career mode. WRC 3 also features a brand new graphics engine, called Spikengine, allowing Milestone to accurately model lighting, particle effects and other real-world characteristics to create an in-game virtual reality, offering complete immersion in the WRC universe.
