The Witcher 3 – CRYENGINE vs REDengine Comparison + Doom 2 Remake In Unreal Engine 4

Crydev member ‘qpffhtmxj’ has recreated in CRYENGINE the swamp level (or at least part of it) from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, giving us a glimpse at the differences between CRYENGINE and REDengine. While this fan-made map is being compared to a level created by a whole team (which doesn’t seem fair at all), it does show some differences in the lighting system of these two engines. In addition, you can find below a very early WIP map from ‘SahkanISR’ that shows what a modern-day remake of Doom 2 would look like in Unreal Engine 4. Enjoy! Watch_Dogs – Modder Adds E3 2012 Anamorphic Lens-Flares

Guru3D’s member ‘SoloCreep’ has released a new mod for Watch_Dogs that adds anamorphic lens-flares; a feature that was present in the E3 build of Watch_Dogs but was removed from the final version. Crytek has been facing major economic issues and since its staff has not been receiving payments these past months, a lot of it decided to move to other companies. Crysis – Unofficial Multiplayer Patch Saves It From Its Gamespy Doom, Adds 70 Brand New MP Maps

Well, you gotta love fans. Crysis was one of the games that suffered from the closure of Gamespy and as you may have guessed, both Crytek and EA didn’t bother replacing the game’s MP servers. Instead of doing the ‘right’ thing, EA and Crytek decided to let the game die. But thanks to “GermanCrysis” forum, players can once again enjoy the MP of the best Crysis game. Here Are The First Details For The New Doom Game, Straight From QuakeCon 2014

During this year’s QuakeCon 2014, Bethesda revealed the first details for id Software’s upcoming Doom game that will be powered by id Tech 6. According to Marty Stratton, this new game will be called Doom and not Doom 4. In short, Marty confirmed that this will be some kind of a reboot of the franchise. The Evil Within Will Be Released Earlier, Coming On October 14th

Bethesda’s Pete Hines has just announced that The Evil Within will be coming earlier than planned. While the game was planned for an October 21st release, it is now scheduled for an October 14th release. According to Hines, Shinji Mikami asked for some time in order to enhanced and polish its title but it appears that the game is ready earlier than anticipated.
