Fallout fans, here is something really special for you today. YouTube’s ‘SODAZ’ has shared a 45-minute fan film based on the Fallout franchise, called Fallout Operation: Sunburst.

Fallout Operation: Sunburst shows intense fighting in the Mojave Desert. SODAZ’s fan-made animation focuses on a tough battle for Helios One, with power armor and smart battlefield tactics. In the video, you’ll see heavy weapons, quick decisions, and a dark, realistic look at war. And yes, it includes a lot of blood and gore.

For anyone curious, Fallout: Operation Sunburst was made with the Unity engine. The creators used real filming and practical effects to make it look like the Fallout world, instead of depending only on game engines. They also included well-known Fallout themes and locations to keep the style familiar.

All in all, this is a really cool Fallout fan film that a lot of people will enjoy. For Fallout fans, this is a must-watch. So, if you are one of them, you should definitely watch it.

Speaking of the Fallout franchise, here are some cool mods for Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas.

Let’s start with Fallout 4. For starters, there is a LOD mod that reduces distant object/shadow/texture pop-ins. Then we have the Disk Cache Enabler Mod. There’s also a mod that adds ragdoll physics and collisions to dead bodies. Another amazing mod is this one that fixes the game’s long loading times. DirectHit is a mod that overhauls the AI of enemies. And let’s not forget this mod that adds real locational damage to all enemies. We also have this mod that adds to the game 10 driveable cars/vehicles with Havok physics, as well as this Enhanced Movement Mod. Modders have even brought Fallout: New Vegas’ skill system to it.

To improve the graphics or performance, you can use the following mods. If you don’t like this latest HD mod, you can either download this 8K Texture Pack or this 41GB 4K Texture Pack, which optimizes all 40,962 textures. There’s also a mod that improves the faces of over 1450 NPCs. Plus, there is a mod that adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 2, AMD FSR 2, and Intel XeSS. And let’s not forget the free AMD FSR 3.0 Frame Gen Mod.

America Rising 2 is another fan DLC/expansion mod that integrates the Enclave faction into the main story with 24 main quests. Hunter’s Abyss and Caves Of The Commonwealth are two other fan expansion mods. Let’s also not forget Fallout London, which looks promising. Misery Island is another DLC-sized fan expansion. You can also download Sim Settlements 2 – Chapter 3, Whispering Hills, which is a cool Silent Hill mod, and The Wilderness Mod. Plus, there is a horror quest mod that is inspired by Lovecraft, Resident Evil, and Dead Space. A few months ago, we also shared a brand new dark quest mod, called Project A.R.E.S. Let’s also not forget Atom’s Retribution, which offers 24+ hours of gameplay and 40+ new quests. Oh, and the Mass Effect Evolution Mod is once again available for download.

If you are into Fallout: New Vegas, you can also try these other mods for it. For instance, this mod adds real-time reflections. Another one changes over 1,000 functions to make the game run smoother. Plus, there’s a mod to make the game’s characters even smarter. Another must-have mod is this one, which improves collision accuracy and fixes/optimizes meshes.

In June 2024, we shared a mod that brought some STALKER-like anomalies to the game. Moreover, you can get this mod that adds physically-based vehicles to the game. And if you love quests, there’s a mod that gives you an endless supply of new ones. Let’s also not forget the Visuals Improved Content Expanded Mod. This mod fills the surroundings of Vegas to make it feel more like a real city.

There are also some cool fan-made expansions for New Vegas. Four of them are being made as we speak. These are Fallout: Broken City, Fallout Van buren Remake, Fallout: Nuevo Mexico and Star Wars Open Worlds. On the other hand, we have these DLC-sized mods that you can grab and play right now. So, you can download Fallout New California, Fallout: Free Cheyenne Demo, and Fallout New Vegas: Out of Bounds. We also have Fallout The Frontier and Retribution 2. Another cool fan expansion is Tales of New Reno. Let’s also not forget Dawn of Stealthtenza, a new DLC-sized expansion mod that offers 3 hours of new content. There is also a demo of another fan remake mod for the canceled Fallout 3 game, called Fallout Revelation Blues.
