Fallout 4 Enhanced Mod

This Fallout 4 Mod adds real locational damage to all enemies

Modder ‘Zzyxzz’ has released a mod that implemented DirectHit in Fallout 4, allowing you to deal real locational damage to your enemies. This mod will completely change the way you play Fallout 4, and we highly recommend trying it.

DirectHit Mod for Fallout 4 changes how damage is calculated on the engine level of Fallout 4. As its description reads.

“In the vanilla game, every hit is calculated against the combined armor you are wearing. It doesn’t matter, if you hit a body part with no armor or a body part which is covered by a big and heavy armor. It always deals the same amount of damage. DirectHit changes that. When you use DirectHit and shoot at a body part, the damage is only calculated against the “natural armor*” and the armor that is equipped on that body part. This mean, shooting at body parts with no armor, will deal more damage, than shooting at body parts covered by metal plates.”

What’s also cool here is that the mod takes into account the game’s Power Armor. As such, Power Armor will negate damage completely until its parts break. Furthermore, body parts that are no longer covered by Power Armor Parts are vulnerable to damage.

You can download this real locational damage mod for Fallout 4 from here.

In theory, this mod should be compatible with the other Fallout 4 Mods that we’ve shared. Thus, you should be able to use it with this LOD mod that reduces distant objects/shadows/textures pop-ins. It should also be compatible with the Disk Cache Enabler Mod. Another amazing mod is this one that fixes the game’s long loading times. DirectHit should also work with this mod that overhauls the AI of enemies.

Before closing, we should mention some upcoming DLC-sized mods for Fallout 4. Fallout New Vegas Remake in Fallout 4 is a mod we’re really looking forward to. Then we have the Fallout London fan expansion. And let’s not forget Fallout: Miami. All of them look interesting, though there is no ETA on when they will come out.

Have fun!
