It’s almost here. The third part of Mass Effect 3 will be released in a few days and PC gamers can go ahead and pre-load it via Origin. The game is around 10GB in size and word has it that PC gamers will be able to unlock it earlier via VPN. That method worked fine with Syndicate, so we bet that it will also do the trick with BioWare’s title. Now that’s a nice surprise. BioWare and Electronic Arts have released a new patch for Dragon Age 2. This patch will update your game’s version to 1.04 and comes with various general and quest fixes. The changelog contains some spoilers, so be sure to avoid it if you haven’t played the game yet. This new update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Let me start by saying that Starbreeze is a talented studio. After the amazing Chronicles of Riddick and the first Darkness game, we were expecting big things from them. However, something is really off with their latest games. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena was not something special and Syndicate feels like a generic FPS that basically mixes Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s style and FEAR’s combat mechanics. But we are not here to judge its gameplay. And ironically, although the game feels like a big let down, its game engine is awesome and performs great on the PC. BioWare and Electronic Arts have released the launch trailer of Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect 3 thrusts players into an all-out war to save the galaxy from an ancient alien race known as the Reapers. EA, 38 Studios, and Big Huge Games unveiled The Legend of Dead Kel, the first downloadable content (DLC) pack for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the critically acclaimed open-world action role-playing game. Featuring a mysterious tale of intrigue, danger and dark magic on the island of Gallows End, players will encounter shadowy characters and new enemies, and will experience a host of new side quests, treacherous battles and exciting new challenges. I tell you, this is too good to pass by. YouTube’s member ‘myST4SH’ has posted a hilarious jet video of Battlefield 3. myST4SH was on dogfight when his plane got a lot of damage. The player tried to avoid exploding and in a risky attempt, he crashed his plane into some trees. To his surprise, his plane didn’t explode, therefore he decided to repair it. What comes after that is funny as hell, and that’s mainly due to the captions and music that myST4SH used. Now this is precisely why Battlefield 3 is so great. We’re preparing a Performance Analysis for Syndicate but let’s get one thing straight; the bloom effects are overdone and there is no way to disable them. Seriously, my eyes hurt after watching some of the in-game screenshots that I’ve captured and that says a lot. Starbreeze went nuts with it and luckily for you, there is a temporary workaround to get rid of those flashy gimmick effects. A few months ago, a team recreated the Battlefield 2 intro in Battlefield 3. Naturally, the team felt the need to keep it up and we are happy to report that they have recreated the Battlefield 1942 Intro in Battlefield 3.
