Project Copernicus is the codename for an unparalleled MMOG entertainment experience set in a truly evolving fantasy world that is both warmly familiar and intriguingly unique. Think of it as an MMO version of Kingdoms of Amalur. That project sounded great and the following screenshots showcase a unique style. However, the fate of this project is currently at stake as 38 Studios laid off all of its stuff and Big Huge Games has been closed. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Let’s be honest here, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning doesn’t look as good as we’d hoped to. It has blurry textures and looks a bit flat in most occasions. And I’m amazed with the subtle – yet noticeable – improvements that Skyrim’s FXAA Injector brings to the table. The sharpening filter is ideal for all those blurry road textures and the ability to adjust the game’s saturation – and bring it to your own taste – is something that most games should feature as an in-game option. Make no mistake, this FXAA Injector tool is a must-have tool as the game looks so much more vivid with it. Download link and comparison video below. And that’s precisely why we should be getting early demos, as developers can pin-point most of their games’ issues and fix them before releasing it, or with a quick hotfix, thus providing a better gaming experience to their fans. Oh boy, here we go again. We were delighted to hear that the PC version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning would be receiving a demo. However, we didn’t know that it would be distributed, exclusively, via EA’s Origin service. So, those interested in giving a go to 38 Studios’ upcoming action RPG will have to install EA’s distribution service. We know that some of you hate Origin, so there you have it; you’ve been warned.
