Battlefield 3 to receive three expansion packs by the end of 2012

As we hinted yesterday, DICE promised to announce some interesting things in GDC. And we are happy to report today that both DICE and EA decided to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to fans by unveiling three new themed digital expansion packs that will enhance the superior Battlefield experience with fresh and innovative gameplay, new modes, unique environments and more ways to wage all-out-war on the battlefield. Powered by the Frostbite 2 engine, the next expansion packs are: Battlefield 3: Close Quarters in June, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill in the fall, and Battlefield 3: End Game in the winter. Sim City V is coming to the PC in 2013, will be a fully 3D title, powered by a new physics engine

During EA’s GDC 2012 press conference, Maxis’ Lucy Bradshaw has announced that Sim City V will hit PCs in 2013. Yeap, it’s official. Sim City V (that will be named simply SimCity as it’s a franchise reboot) is coming to the PC next year and will be a fully 3D title. Contrary to all previous Sim City titles, Sim City V will be the first 3D title and will feature a new game engine. Not only that, but the game will also come with a new physics engine that was developed for it. Medal of Honor: Warfighter – Debut Trailer; coming on October 23rd

Electronic Arts has just released the official teaser trailer of the next game in Medal of Honor franchise titled as “Medal of Honor: Warfighter”. In addition, the teaser trailer has revealed the release date of the game. Medal of Honor: Warfighter is coming on current generation consoles and PC on October 23rd. And yeah, it looks like a mix between Call of Duty and Battlefield 3. Here is hoping that the end result will be better than a simple mashup of those two franchises. Battlefield 3 – GDC 2012 will bring new things to the table, PC patch will come with optimizations

GDC 2012 is about to start, but what does this mean for our beloved Swedish developer that is behind the Battlefield series? Although we don’t have a lot of information, we do know that GDC 2012 will bring more and new things to the table. When a fan expressed his thoughts about DICE’s latest decisions, Daniel Matros responded and said that this was one of the reasons that DICE decided to release the big fixlist. Not only that, but Daniel re-confirmed that GDC2012 will be interesting for all Battlefield 3 fans. Mass Effect 3 fans, rejoice; game is unlocked in Asian countries, FLYVPN works, BioWare won’t ban you

And the time has finally come. Mass Effect 3 has just been unlocked in Asian countries. Naturally, PC gamers won’t have to wait until Thursday or Friday as they can use FLYVPN to unlock it earlier. And it bloody works guys. Star Wars: The Old Republic – Game Update 1.2 Revealed, Goes Live In April 2012

EA, BioWare and LucasArts today revealed Game Update 1.2 —Legacy. Going live in April 2012, Legacy will introduce new high level group content and community-requested features including PvP Warzone Rankings and Guild Banks, along with enhancements to the game’s innovative Legacy system. This update also provides improved UI customization as well as gameplay fixes and the latest optimizations to combat balance. Also today, BioWare announced Star Wars: The Old Republic’s “Friends Trial” program, allowing subscribers to invite as many as three of their friends for a seven-day free game trial. Mass Effect 3 PC Pre-Load Started; Graphical Options same with the Demo Version

It’s almost here. The third part of Mass Effect 3 will be released in a few days and PC gamers can go ahead and pre-load it via Origin. The game is around 10GB in size and word has it that PC gamers will be able to unlock it earlier via VPN. That method worked fine with Syndicate, so we bet that it will also do the trick with BioWare’s title. New Dragon Age 2 patch comes with various gameplay, functionality and quest fixes

Now that’s a nice surprise. BioWare and Electronic Arts have released a new patch for Dragon Age 2. This patch will update your game’s version to 1.04 and comes with various general and quest fixes. The changelog contains some spoilers, so be sure to avoid it if you haven’t played the game yet. This new update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Syndicate PC Performance Analysis

Let me start by saying that Starbreeze is a talented studio. After the amazing Chronicles of Riddick and the first Darkness game, we were expecting big things from them. However, something is really off with their latest games. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena was not something special and Syndicate feels like a generic FPS that basically mixes Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s style and FEAR’s combat mechanics. But we are not here to judge its gameplay. And ironically, although the game feels like a big let down, its game engine is awesome and performs great on the PC.
