Our reader ‘GhostRiderLSOV’ has sent us one of the most ambitious ArmA 2 machinima movies we’ve ever seen. Directed, edited and produced by Binary Orchestra, this movie shows an invasion at Seattle that puts against the US army with the Russian one. Bethesda has announced that it has established a new studio in Austin, Texas called Battlecry Studios. Battlecry is led by Rich Vogel who was the executive producer of Star Wars: The Old Republic. According to the press release, Rich has a long history in the industry having worked on Ultima Online, and Star Wars Galaxies as well as other online and console titles during his 20+ years in game development. What’s more interesting here though, is that – according to the available job listings for this new studio – Battlecry Studios seems to be working on a free-to-play online game for current-generation platforms. Germany is at it again. Nordic Games has revealed that the newest installment of the legendary “Painkiller” series, “Painkiller Hell & Damnation”, will not receive an age rating in Germany. Electronic Arts announced the record-smashing start of EA SPORTS FIFA 13, selling over 4.5 million games across all platforms worldwide in just five days. Markus ‘Notch’ Persson has released the first footage of Mojang’s upcoming game, 0x10c. This is a WIP footage, and does not show much, apart from some physics, bobbing, and guns. 0x10c is said to take place in a hard science fiction world and will feature lots of engineering, a fully working computer system, space battles against the AI or other players. Players will be able to seamlessly land on planets and there will be an advanced economy system. There will also be random encounters, as well as mining, trading, and looting. Enjoy! Square Enix released a new trailer for Hitman: Absolution. Developed by IO Interactive, Hitman: Absolution follows Agent 47, a cold blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date.
