Hilarious things happen when video-game physics go wrong

Fifa12
This article was inspired by a video that Elias Peppas shared with me. YouTube’s member ‘HelixSnake’ made a compilation of some epic physics fails from Skate 3. And this made us wonder; what could possibly go wrong in a video-game when its physics engine go insane? Well, the answer is quite simple. You can get some gay stuff thanks to the Impact Engine of Fifa 12 & 13, spinning cars, boobs that can go up and down, and games with non-existent collisions (yeah, we’re talking about the legendary ‘Big Rigs’ game). Assassin’s Creed comes to GTA IV with this amazing map

Our reader Jonathan Gustafsson has informed us about a mod that promises to bring Assassin’s Creed into GTA IV’s game engine. Created by “ShakingASS” and “terreur69”, this mod is still in early stages and as we can see below, there are no special moves for Altair, no crowd, no abilities to climb on walls, etc. Obviously we’re asking for too much as this will most probably be an Assassin’s Creed map and nothing more. But still, imagine if these two guys could implement such features. All in all, this mod – on its final stage – will give us a glimpe of what an Assassin’s Creed game could look like on the RAGE engine. Enjoy some early footage from it, captured by Jonathan himself! Star Wars: Battlefront II – Battlefront 2013 Mod – Debut Gameplay Footage

CreatorOfThings has released the first gameplay video of the Battlefront 2013 mod for Star Wars: Battlefront II. This mod aims to improve the visual and rendering capabilities of Pandemic Studios’ Zero Engine by adding modern-day features such as Color Correction, Motion Blur, Depth of Field, and Bloom. In all truthfulness, this looks like using the SweetFX Shader Suite. In fact, this is an injector tool as – according to the mod’s description – it ‘injects code into the game during run-time that adds modern graphical enhancements and effects‘. We’ll give the modder the benefit of doubt, however we’re pretty sure that you can get these features by using the SweetFX Shader Suite. But anyway, below you will find a debut gameplay video from this mod. Enjoy! Continue reading Star Wars: Battlefront II – Battlefront 2013 Mod – Debut Gameplay Footage
