Markus ‘Notch’ Persson’s new game is called ‘0x10c’ and will be a Firefly/Elite Hybrid Space Sim

As we informed you two days ago, Markus ‘Notch’ Persson and his team have been preparing a new game. This game got a name and will be called ‘0x10c’. Think of it as a Firefly/Elite Hybrid Space Sim. The game is still extremely early in development, but like they did with Minecraft, they expect to release it early and let the players help them shape the game as it grows. Now I don’t know if this will have the same impact as Minecraft, especially with all those Kickstarters campaigns that started appearing the previous weeks. Moreover, the cost of the game is still undecided, but it’s likely there will be a monthly fee for joining the Multiverse as they are going to emulate all computers and physics even when players aren’t logged in. Monthly fee and beta phase in which gamers have to pay to gain access? Ouch. Continue reading Markus ‘Notch’ Persson’s new game is called ‘0x10c’ and will be a Firefly/Elite Hybrid Space Sim
