Defiance gets a Combat Gameplay Teaser Trailer

Back in June, we informed you about Defiance, Trion Worlds’ and SyFy’s latest action MMO game. Defiance promises to combine the intense action of a shooter, with the persistence, scale, and customization of an MMO game. Moreover, developers plan to ‘sync’ both the show and the game. This means that the show and the game will influence each other and evolve together over time. With PAX under way, Trion Worlds released a gameplay trailer for it that contains pre-alpha footage. Enjoy the video – courtesy of Machinima – after the jump. Continue reading Defiance gets a Combat Gameplay Teaser Trailer

Mass Effect 3 Cinema Mod is an interesting ENBSeries mod for Bioware’s RPG

Although Boris abandoned his plans of releasing a new version of his ENBSeries mod for Mass Effect 3, modder MrChowderClam decided to go the extra mile and create a proper version of it for Bioware’s RPG. Naturally, this mod is based on Boris’ earlier version, so kudos to both of them. The result of MrChowderClam’s work is Mass Effect 3 Cinema Mod, a pretty interesting ENBSeries mod that comes with richer colors, grain film effects and better atmosphere. Although the mod has been out for a while, MrChowderClam has recently released a new, color enhanced version of it that looks great. You can find a video of it – as well as its download link – below. Enjoy! Continue reading Mass Effect 3 Cinema Mod is an interesting ENBSeries mod for Bioware’s RPG

Cliff Bleszinski wants Epic to return to their roots; wants to produce less linear/scripted games

You know what? Today feels really like an April’s fools day. I mean, take a look at Romero’s statements that we’ve posted a couple of hours ago. Sounded awesome, right? Well, here comes and Cliff Bleszinski to jump on the ‘less-linear games’ band-wagon. No, I’m not kidding. That Cliff, the same one that was responsible for slow paced and scripted games like GoW – and my God GoW 3 has lots of scripted events – has revealed that he wants to produce less linear games. Who would have thought. Continue reading Cliff Bleszinski wants Epic to return to their roots; wants to produce less linear/scripted games

This is perhaps the creepiest Battlefield 3 video you’ll ever see

Let me borrow some of ‘Morpheus’ lines from the first Matrix movie. Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure it was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream. How would you know the difference between the dream world, and the real world? Well, that’s exactly the idea behind birgirpall’s latest experimental BF3 video. Even though BF3 is an action shooter and nothing more, you can come up with some really creepy stuff when you throw in some proper and ambient music, great montage skills and a lot of fantasy. Special thanks to our friend ‘Ghost Rider LSOV’ for sending us this video. Enjoy! Continue reading This is perhaps the creepiest Battlefield 3 video you’ll ever see
