Square Enix has released a new gameplay video for Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming reboot to the Tomb Raider series. In this video, Lara makes her way from a Monastery to the edge of a Scavenger shanty town, using the environment to succeed in brutal combat. Needless to say that this video contains spoilers, so avoid it if you want to experience Tomb Raider yourselves. Tomb Raider is planned for a March 5th release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! One of the reasons I love Doom 64 is because id Software decided to create new sprites for every monster and new textures for its environments. The end result was gorgeous back then and – to be honest – I’d love to see a remastered HD version of Doom. You know, 2D sprites that are wonderfully designed in HD. And since this is not going to happen anytime soon, I can at least satisfy my need for some Doom ‘OldSchool’ HD with this video. YouTube’s member ‘TJ Townsend’ has recreated a scene from Doom. The final image spans across 7 PSD files at a resolution of 9600×7211 pixels, and this project took him 35 hours to complete over the course of 8 days. It looks spectacular, so go ahead and take a look! Continue reading This is what a remastered HD version of Doom could look like→

It’s no secret that CD Projekt RED is one of the most beloved PC developers out there. And while we are anxiously waiting for both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, CDPR revealed that the PC version of The Witcher 3 will be the definitive version of it. Yes, The Witcher 3 is announced for next-generation consoles and PC, and from this comment we can be sure that CDPR is developing primary on the PC and will be porting its title to consoles after the completion of the PC version. That, or the PC is the lead platform for The Witcher 3’s development. Continue reading PC Version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Will Be The Best Version Available→
YouTube’s ‘Spenser Wilson’ has uploaded a new video, showcasing the new Slenderman game that is currently under development, Slender: The Arrival. The game is being developed by Blue Isle Studios, is powered by the Unity Engine and is currently in beta phase. Naturally, players will have to collect all eight pages while at the same time avoid getting caught by the Slenderman. It looks cool, immersive and scary, though it may get repetitive too quickly. Let’s hope that Blue Isle Studios will be able to offer a nice variation between the levels, especially since this won’t be a freeware title like its predecessor. Slender: The Arrival is also said to feature a storyline, so it will be interesting to see what the devs have been up to all this time. Enjoy! The latest Top 10 PC charts have been revealed and as we can see, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dragonborn and Football Manager 2013 are the best selling titles on Steam’s digital and UK’s retail PC charts. EA’s Dead Space 3 has managed to hit the second best place in UK’s retail charts, while WoW: Mists of Pandaria and Far Cry 3 have gained one and two places, respectively. What really surprised us though was StarCraft 2’s appearance. Blizzard’s strategy game has re-entered the charts and is in the ninth place, followed by The Sims 3: Pets (another title that was absent from last week’s charts). And there is literally no limit to what modders can achieve with Rockstar’s title. L3-e Productions has recreated the teaser trailer of Fast & Furious 6 in Grand Theft Auto IV. Ironically, it looks really cool, though the lighting has some issues and there are some missing effects. Still, L3-e Productions came really close to the teaser, so kudos to them. Enjoy! Nathan Andrews has released a new video, showcasing his Half-Life Oculus Rift mod. Half-Life VR adds full head tracking and weapon tracking to Half-Life 2 in preparation for the Oculus Rift dev kit launch. In this video Nathan Andrews is using two hillcrest trackers, the same ones John Carmack used in his E3 and quakecon demos of the early rift prototype. This is full 360 degree, 1 to 1 tracking on both the head and weapon, there are no gimmicks or constraints between where you aim and your field of view. Nathan Andrews mod appears to be also compatible with FakeFactory’s Cinematic Mod. This looks epic, so go ahead and watch it. VR is almost upon us!
