Betrayer Announced – New FPS From The Creators Of FEAR & No One Lives Forever

Blackpowder Games, a team that is consisted of six of the key people behind F.E.A.R. and No One Lives Forever, has revealed its first project. Titled ‘Betrayer’, this new FPS promises to be an eerie single-player game that is set in haunted, early colonial-era Virginia. The game is planned for an August 14th release via Steam’s Early Access program, and you can find its debut trailer (thanks to PCGamer) as well as its first screenshots below. Enjoy! Star Wars Comes To CryEngine 3, StarCraft 2 Zerg Environment Recreated In UDK

As you may have noticed, we didn’t post any CryEngine 3 or UDK articles this weekend. Therefore, today we bring you some interesting concepts from 3D artists ‘Camrat’ and ‘Harbinger’. Camrat decided to create a map based on Star Wars’ universe in CryEngine 3, while Harbinger created a Zerg hive environment in UDK (obviously inspired by StarCraft 2). Both of these maps look great, though we have to admit that the Star Wars scene is a little bit better. Enjoy! Marvel Heroes is free-to-play and features 22 Super Heroes, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine, Hulk and Captain America. Each hero can be customized through unique and extensive leveling systems, power trees, equipment and a robust crafting system. Modder ‘SparrowPrince’ has released a new mod for Skyrim that aims to enhance the blurry and ugly distant textures of it. According to its description, this mod basically takes 3060 LOD textures (it was as boring as it sounds to make) and applies the smallest amount of noise the modder could to them without making the landscape look too dark. Our reader ‘Jonathan Gustafsson’ has informed us about a very unique mod that brings GTA V’s radar hud and specials meter to GTA IV. According to Jonathan, the author of this mod – who is also responsible for the ‘Superman Flying’ mod – is actually planning to port most – if not all – of GTA V’s features to GTA IV.
