Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is a GTA game that was never released on PC. However, an unofficial PC version has just appeared. As such, PC gamers will now be able to play this GTA game without the need to use an emulator.
While GTA: Liberty City Stories never came out on PC, PC gamers could enjoy it via Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories PC Edition. Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories PC Edition was a mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This mod brought all the missions and content from GTA: LCS to GTA: San Andreas. Sadly, though, this mod is no longer available for download on ModDB.
For those who did not know, GTA: Liberty City Stories is set in Liberty City, a few years before the events of GTA III. You play as Toni Cipriani, a member of the Leone crime family.
The game features an open world, driving, shooting, missions, and plenty of side activities. It also brings back the dark and gritty style of GTA III while adding new areas, missions, and gameplay features.
Now, what’s cool here is that the PC version supports keyboard and mouse from the get-go. I don’t know, however, if it changes the UI fonts to display proper KB&M prompts. Still, this is, in my opinion, the best way to play the game.
Those interested can go ahead and download the PC port from this link. This is based on the PSP version, and not on the enhanced PS2 version. Also, as with all PC recompilations, it does not have any in-game assets. As such, you’ll have to provide your own ROM file to run it.
In case you are into projects like these, you can also download the unofficial PC ports of Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Crash Team Racing, and Duke Nukem: Zero Hour. You can also play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Perfect Dark, and Jak & Daxter.
Furthermore, Brian Tate has brought the three classic SNES Donkey Kong Country games to PC. For our SNES fans, we also have a PC port of Star Fox. Earlier this month, we also got a PC port of F-Zero. And, since we’ve already gotten a few SNES games, I’d really love to see a PC version of Jurassic Park with KB&M support and HD textures. Now that would be awesome.
In September 2026, we shared a lot of unofficial PC ports. So, you can download and enjoy on PC Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, WET, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Fable 2, Burnout Revenge, Super Mario Strikers, and Lost Odyssey.
