Dark Seas Games released today the alpha version of its spiritual successor to Road Rash, Road Redemption, for all the alpha level backers and above. Dark Seas Games has released a rather disappointing new video for its spiritual successor to Road Rash, Road Redemption. This video supposedly showcases the new graphical features that have been implemented to the game, however one of the developers claimed that the gameplay footage was captured from a laptop that was running the game at medium settings (something that should also explain the low framerate). So here is the one million dollar question: what’s the point of using an under-powered laptop to showcase your graphical improvements on medium settings and not on max? Road Redemption – Spiritual Successor To Road Rash – Gets Funded

DarkSeas Games announced that its Road Rash inspired Kickstarter Road Redemption has reached its funding goal of $160,000. There are still approximately 48 hours left of that kickstarter campaign, and DarkSeas Games hope to reach its stretch goals of porting Road Redemption to the Xbox 360 and integrating Oculus Rift support at $178,000 and $198,000 respectively. Road Rash Spiritual Successor ‘Road Redemption’ Stretch Goals – Oculus Rift Support & X360 Version

The Kickstarter campaign for Road Rash’s spiritual successor, Road Redemption, is heading towards its end and DarkSeas Games revealed two stretch goals for it. The first stretch goal is an X360 version, while the second one is support for the Oculus Rift. Of course, these stretch goals are welcomed provided the game actually gets funded. Right now, the team needs to raise $60K in these last 9 days, and we are not certain – though we hope to – whether they’ll be able to pull it off.
