Last week, the team responsible the amazing Misery mod for STALKER 2 released a new trailer for it, showcasing some of the features that are coming in this new version of the mod. ModDB’s editors awarded Misery as the best mod of 2012, and we are happy to present you the teaser trailer of its upcoming 2.0 version. This new version of Misery will feature lots of visual, audio, gameplay, realism and weapon improvements. For example, a new sun flare effect has been implemented for when players stare at direct sunligth. Misery 2.0 is planned for a Q1 2013 release. Enjoy! STALKER 2 is dead; Long live Survarium, a free-to-play MMOFPS, spiritual successor to STALKER

And we saw that coming. Even though the STALKER 2 team was reassuring us that STALKER 2 would not be cancelled, we knew that wasn’t the truth. So, PC gamers, say goodbye to STALKER 2 and hello to Survarium. Survarium is what STALKER 2 was meant to be and can be considered as the spiritual successor to the first STALKER. The game is developed by Vostok Games, as GSC GameWorld has closed its doors and is no more. Oh, and this is no more a Single Player game but a free-to-play MMOFPS. STALKER 2 – Leaked Video from former GSC employee

Sergey Zhukov, a former GSC employee (animator), has leaked an animation video of the upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 game. This video shows off the new animation system that will be – hopefully – used in the game, as well as the more detailed characters. Modder introduces Global Illumination in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Modder ‘ketxxx’ is developing a promising mod for GSC GameWorld’s STALKER called, STALKER Twilight K.E.T 2.Zero. The envisionment of TK is to bring you what was promised by GSC for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, instead of what was offered. ketxxx has been experimenting with Global Illumination and has released a new footage to show off his work. STALKER 2 won’t be released in 2012

STALKER fans are certainly pleased with the fact that STALKER 2 is still in development, however they won’t be able to enjoy this title in 2012. As GSC GameWorld revealed via their Twitter account, there is currently no release date for STALKER 2 and they are afraid that it won’t come out in 2012. STALKER fans, rejoice; STALKER 2’s development team continues work after the holidays

Back in December, GSC GameWorld promised more news about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 after the holiday season. And here we are today, with the team announcing at the game’s official FB page that they are very happy as they are ‘continuing work on Stalker 2 after the holidays. A Christmas present to all STALKER 2 fans; official news coming in mid January

Okay STALKER 2 fans, here is something that might make you happy and start jumping around your room. GSC GameWorld has tweeted that we’ll get some official news in mid January and that “there is cause for hope”. Which basically translates to “Hey, there is a chance we might not close and STALKER 2 might not get cancelled”. Make no mistake though. Yeah, it seems that there is light at the end of GSC’s tunnel but for all we know, this message could be GSC’s attempt at damage control, so hold your horses. For now at least. STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl – OGSE 0.6.9.3 Mod will feature improved light sources on static render

The OGSE Team sent us word about a crucial feature that will be implemented in the next version of their OGSE Mod. OGSE 0.6.9.3 will feature improved light sources on static render, which basically means that most of the point light-sources such as lamps, will have “real” lighting on R1 (static) render mode. According to the team, this was accomplished by “adjusting light-source properties in game SDK” and what’s more interesting, is that these light sources will be breakable.
