Risen 2: Dark Waters – First Five Minutes

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes have released a new gameplay video for Risen 2: Dark Waters that shows off the first five minutes of the game. As with the first Risen, your adventures will begin on a beach. Only this time, you’ll get the pleasure to see a Kraken sinking a ship before beginning playing. The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav – New Release Date Announced

Daedalic Entertainment and Deep Silver will release the new The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav – on June the 22nd, 2012. After postponing the release date for The Dark Eye – Chains of Satinav, Daedalic announced the new release date would be the 22nd of June, 2012. Iron Front – Liberation 1944 gets a new trailer, releases exclusively for the PC on May 25th

Deep Silver and X1 Software released today a new trailer for their upcoming tactical shooter that is powered by ArmA 2’s engine, Iron Front – Liberation 1944. The story takes place in southern Poland during the Soviet Offensive in the summer of 1944. The player takes on the role of a Russian or German infantryman, using teamwork, tactical skill and authentic war machines to battle for victory. Iron Front – Liberation 1944 is currently slated for an May 25th release, exclusively on the PC. Enjoy! Pre-orders are now available for the Steam version of Risen 2: Dark Waters

Good news for Risen 2 fans, as the Steam version is now available for pre-order. The game is priced at 49.99 euros and can be pre-purchased from here. Those who decide to pre-order it will receive the Risen 2 Treasure Isle DLC for free. Risen 2 takes place several years after the end of Risen, where raging titans have devastated the world and pushed humanity to the brink of existence. Risen 2: Dark Waters – New Gameplay Trailer

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes have released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming pirated-theme RPG, Risen 2: Dark Waters. Risen 2 is the sequel to one of the best RPGs of 2009 and although we have faith in Piranha Bytes, we can’t help but notice its dated game engine. Although the game has a unique style, its animation system is really old-gen and – generally speaking – the graphics seem rough around it edges. Deep Silver has released some new screenshots for their upcoming pirated RPG, Risen 2: Dark Waters. In Risen 2: Dark Waters, the Inquisition dispatches the hero to seek a remedy against the monstrous sea creatures that are interfering with the shipping lines, thus cutting off the islands’ supplies. Risen 2: Dark Waters – The Making Of, Episode 4 – The Music

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes today released the fourth episode of the six part making-of series that will become available over the course of the next months until the release. The developers from Piranha Bytes this time describe what kind of music works best for games and how a soundtrack for a game gets created even though the game itself is too early to be used as an inspiration, how the different music tracks get placed in the different areas of a game world and how music can convey different moods and emotions in a game. Risen 2: Dark Waters will support Nvidia’s 3D Vision

Deep Silver today announced that the PC version of the pirate RPG Risen 2: Dark Waters will fully support the 3D Vision technology from Nvidia. Never before has a world of pirates and monsters, of sailors and gnomes, of good and evil,  been experienced on a PC screen to this extent – bring the pirate world of Risen 2 to all new depths – with an effect so real you can almost taste the rum. The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav slightly delayed; slated now for a Q2 2012 release

Daedalic Entertainment and Deep Silver decided to extend the development of the game in order to further optimize the game’s performance. As a result of that, The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav is now expected to be released towards the end of Q2 2012. The precise date will be announced shortly.
