Ashes of the Singularity – Update 1.2 adds newly enhanced Campaign, new units, global chat and more

Stardock and Oxide Games have released update 1.2 for Ashes of the Singularity. The update is adding the newly enhanced campaign which is complete with full voiceover for all dialogue, new missions, and new cutscenes. In addition to the campaign, v1.2 has the new “Substrate Eradicator” and “PHC Athena” units, single-player Hall of Fame, Global Chat channel, substantial UI and AI improvements, and more. NVIDIA GTX 1080 – First Ashes of the Singularity DX12 Benchmarks Leaked

It appears that the first DX12 benchmarks for NVIDIA’s new graphics card, the NVIDIA GTX1080, have been leaked. These benchmarks come straight from Ashes of the Singularity’s database, and will give you a glimpse at what this new GPU is capable of. Ashes of the Singularity- Update 1.02 Now Available, Adds New Map & Scenario

Stardock has released a new update for Ashes of the Singularity. According to its release notes, this update adds a new map and a scenario. In addition, this patch comes with various balance changes, stability improvements and bug fixes. This update will be auto-downloaded from Steam, and you find its complete changelog below. Do note that this update will invalidate old save games. However, overall campaign progress in Ascencdency Wars is maintained. Ashes of the Singularity – Beta 2 Now Available

Stardock released today Beta 2 of its upcoming massive-scale real-time strategy game, Ashes of the Singularity. As the press release, Beta 2 includes a new DirectX 12 benchmark developed by Oxide Games as well as explicit support for new DirectX 12 features such as multiple GPUs and Asynchronous compute. DSOGaming – Ashes of The Singularity Impressions

Not long ago I got an email from marketing for Ashes of The Singularity asking if I would like to review the game. Ashes of The Singularity is the first game to support DirectX 12, well the first game that has a playable version of the game out right now, so naturally I was intrigued and obliged. With Ashes of The Singularity being just in Early Access I figured it wasn’t exactly fair to do a full blown review as the game isn’t finished. Caffeine & Ashes of the Singularity Developers “Fight” Over Which Game Is The First DX12 Title

Now here is an interesting story. Ashes of the Singularity’s Early Access phase has just been launched and Stardock has been promoting its title as the first game supporting Microsoft’s API. This, however, was something that caught Dylan Browne’s attention – developer of Caffeine – who was also claiming that Caffeine was the first DX12 game to date.
