Now that’s what we’re talking about. YouTube’s member ‘Wintergore ‘ created one of the best mashup videos between Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon and Battlefield. Battlemon starts with a Metal Gear Solid feel to it, with the isometric camera and the alarm sound effect. It quickly goes into a small RPG fight (in a Pokemon perspective view) and is followed by a ‘remix’ of Pokemon’s main theme. And once again, players show what we would be getting if there were mod tools for Battlefield 3. Damn you DICE. Enjoy the video below! It’s been a while since our last – video – check on Project CARS, right? Well, we are happy to present you today a new community trailer from member ‘JonZ’. And let’s start by saying that Slightly Mad Studios needs to replace the tree models and add some more environmental detail. Apart from those small nitpicks though, Project CARS looks ridiculously amazing. Everything is top notch, from the car models to the reflections and the lighting system. Today, Sony Online Entertainment released The Last Laugh, the fourth downloadable content (DLC) pack for DCUO, available now for download on the PC and PS3. In the largest PvP (player vs. player) content update since launch, no one is safe as Superman and The Joker encourage heroes and villains to invade The Hall of Doom and The Watchtower, as well as the player safe houses and headquarters throughout the open world. Funcom and Electronic Arts have revealed – via The Secret World’s FB page – that the final beta weekend for it will be initiated on June 22nd. According to the companies, everyone who have signed up for the beta (or for anyone who has not registered yet but still registers by Friday, June 22nd) will be able to play in this final beta weekend. Those who have participated in the previous beta weekends will also be able to take part on it. Blizzard has revealed the full release notes for Diablo III’s highly Update 1.0.3. Be warned that the changelist is huge, so take a deep breath before hitting the ‘continue reading’ button. The update will be made available today in America and tomorrow in Europe. As always, the servers will be taken offline before the update goes live and European players will be unable to log into the Americas or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.3 is live until those regions have also patched. Following Crytek’s and Epic’s statements about their next-generation game engines, Electronic Arts decided to step in and talk about DICE’s Frostbite 2. In an interview with Gamasutra, EA Games’ label executive, Patrick Soderlund, said that Frostbite 2.0 is built for next-generation hardware and that the PC version of Battlefield 3 was just a small treat of Frostbite 2.0’s capabilities. Bethesda announced today that DOOM 3 BFG Edition is slated for release throughout Europe on October 19, 2012. DOOM 3 BFG Edition will feature re-mastered versions of both DOOM 3 and the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack, as well seven new levels of content entitled ‘The Lost Mission.’ DOOM 3 BFG Edition will be available in Europe on PC for £19.99 / €29.99 and on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for £29.99 / €39.99. Valve rolled out a new update for Steam, in which the company noted that the Windows XP SP1 support will be dropped on August 31st. This obviously does not mean that Steam will stop working on Windows XP SP1 systems. However, the company will not provide any help or support when players face problems with it (at a later date).
