NBA 2K13 Sets Franchise First Week Sales Record

2K Sports announced franchise record-setting sales of NBA 2K13, the latest iteration in the top-selling and top-rated basketball simulation series. In its first week of sales, NBA 2K13 sold-through 49 percent more copies than the franchise’s previous fastest-seller, NBA 2K11. This record-shattering growth is due in part to the expanding global popularity of the NBA 2K brand, which accounted for a 66 percent increase in international sales as compared with NBA 2K11. Valve’s Marc Laidlaw debunks Stars of Barathrum rumors: “someone is trolling and it’s not I”

This weekend, a number of artworks and screenshots were – supposedly leaked – from a game that is said to be developed by Valve. As with most rumors – that do not seem plausible – we decided to take a backseat and watch how things unfold. Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [October 7th – 13th]

Well, it was to be expected. The latest Top 10 PC charts have been revealed and as we can see, Dishonored and XCOM: Enemy Unknown are dominating Steam’s digital and UK’s retail PC charts. Dishonored and XCOM: Enemy Unknown are at the two top places of UK’s PC Retail Charts, followed by Mists of Pandaria and Guild Wars 2. The Sims 3 and The Sims 3: Supernatural are the only ‘The Sims’ titles that have made it to this weekly Top10, and are followed by Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Fifa 13 and Diablo III. New Project CARS screenshots showcase rainy weather and wet stages

Slightly Mad Studios has released a new set of screenshots that showcase the rainy weather and the wet surfaces that are coming on the next build of Project CARS. Project CARS will also support time cycle, dynamic lighting and volumentric clouds. It does look sexy, so go ahead and take a look. New SimCity Screenshots Showcase Disasters

Electronic Arts and Maxis have released some new screenshots for SimCity that showcase the in-game disasters that will be featured. Players can expect to see earthquakes, meteor showers, tornadoes and UFO invasions. SimCity will take advantage of Maxis’ new game engine – called GlassBox Engine – and promises to be friendy to mods, to utilize traditional zone placement and to feature curvy roads.
