YouTube’s member ‘FPSGeneral’ has captured some new footage from Sony Online Entertainment’s upcoming Planetside 2. This is brand new, in-game footage straight from GDC 2012, so be sure to give it a go. And let us tell that it looks great. Planetside 2 comes with a new game engine and will be powered by Nvidia’s PhysX technology. PlanetSide 2 takes all the groundbreaking features from the original game – massive multiplayer battles, distinct empires to rally around, and enormous continents where intense ground and air combat unfolds – and adds features that modern gamers have come to expect out of the FPS and MMO genres. I’m pretty sure that a lot of you were disappointed with Diablo III’s new, ‘cartoonish’ art direction. Thankfully, there is an FXAA Injector Mod for it and you can see below the difference between the modded and the vanilla version. The FXAA mod works as a direct3d post processing filter, making the game look sharper, have less saturation, add a slight bit of a (silver) sepia tone, slightly lowered exposure, slightly raised gamma. Sony Online Entertainment has released some new GDC2012 screenshots for their upcoming MMORPG, PlanetSide 2. Planetside 2 will harness the power of SOE’s next-generation Forgelight MMO engine; a true technological feat, as it is specifically created to bring all of the best in class features from the single player arena to next-gen MMOs. Capcom has released some brand new screenshots for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. These new screenshots show off one of the game’s online competitive multiplayer modes, the Nemesis Mode. You know what? We decided this time to put some screenshots of GTA IV modded to the test. Modder ‘Lycan_182’ released some mind-blowing car screenshots, so we went ahead and asked some people whether or not they could guess the game. Naturally, most of them thought that they were from the new Forza game, while others thought that it was from NFS: Hot Pursuit. Well, we can now reveal that they were from GTA IV. Shocking, we know. However this proves that GTA IV modded looks great even for today’s standards. Remember when we shared some custom Skyrim characters from modder Unr3al2004? Some of you thought that those characters well photoshopped but no, they were actual in-game models. Well, we’ve got some good and some bad news. The good news is that Unr3al2004 is back with some new characters that can be viewed below. A couple of months ago, modder ‘Starac’ released one of the best texture packs for Skyrim. Skyrim Realistic Overhaul looks astounding and the modder has just released some new screenshots for his upcoming update. Starac is working on Solitude and still has to finish Riften and Whiterun. You can find some updated textures for Solitude below. We’ve also included a comparison screenshot from Windhelm. On the left we have the vanilla shot and on the right the modded one.
