Black Myth Zhong Kui

Black Myth: Zhong Kui Gets 15-Minute Gameplay Trailer

Game Science has released a brand-new 15-minute gameplay trailer for Black Myth: Zhong Kui, the second title in the Black Myth series. The trailer offers a first look at the protagonist in combat, along with a glimpse of the story.

The devs noted that since the game is still in early development, all footage was captured in-game from a work-in-progress build running at a 21:9 aspect ratio. The final release may also differ from what we see here.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui will be a single-player action role-playing game. It will draw its primary creative inspiration from the famed Chinese folk figure “Zhong Kui”.

There is still no ETA for when this new Black Myth game will come out. In fact, Game Science has not even launched a store page for this game on Steam or the Epic Games Store. So, don’t expect to be playing it anytime soon.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui will be using Unreal Engine 5, and this gameplay footage is from the PC version. After all, it was captured at a 21:9 aspect ratio, something that only PC versions support. Sadly, though, we don’t know the settings that the devs used.

Since I’ve played and finished Black Myth: Wukong, I can definitely say that Zhong Kui looks better than it. Black Myth: Zhong Kui also appears to have better animations. Let’s also hope that the devs will use the latest version of UE5 to avoid traversal or shader compilation stutters.

Enjoy the gameplay trailer and stay tuned for more!
