The Last Of Us, Call of Juarez, STALKER: Clear Sky & Counter-Strike Recreated In CryEngine 3
It seems that CRYENGINE fans are currently working on recreating Naughty Dogs’ latest title, The Last Of Us, in Crytek’s engine; a concept that has us excited. Before jumping to early conclusions, this does not mean that we’ll get a TLOS game powered by CRYENGINE. Yes, it sucks, we know. Still, it will give us an idea of what TLOS would look like in CRYENGINE. Continue reading The Last Of Us, Call of Juarez, STALKER: Clear Sky & Counter-Strike Recreated In CryEngine 3

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is currently planned for a late November release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. From the looks of it, the PC version will be the definitive version, therefore we are really looking forward to it. Enjoy! New Dark Souls 2 Screenshots Released
Namco Bandai has released a new set of screenshots for Dark Souls 2 and although we’re pretty certain that FromSoftware’s title will be a great game, we have to admit that it does not look sexy at all. The texture work especially is as low-res as it can get. Keep also in mind that Dark Souls 2 is planned for a 2014 release and by that time, the visual difference between next-gen and current-gen titles will be even higher. Here is hoping that FromSoftware will pack the PC version with higher resolution textures, though this seems unlikely at this point. Enjoy! Continue reading New Dark Souls 2 Screenshots Released
Batman: Arkham Origins – SweetFX vs Vanilla Comparison
As we said in our Performance Analysis, Batman: Arkham Origins looks great for a multi-platform title. However, the inclusion of TXAA brings an additional layer of blurriness that Nvidia users have to deal with. Well, not anymore. Thanks to SweetFX, PC gamers can enjoy crisp graphics, even by using this blurry AA technique (that does an amazing job at eliminating jaggies mind you, so there is still a reason to actually use it). In order to overhaul the game’s visuals, we added a bit sharpening, boosted the game’s shadows and retained its dark atmosphere, added more color to give it a more cinematic look, and enhanced the lighting system. The end result is – at least in our opinion – great and makes the game look way better than its vanilla version. Continue reading Batman: Arkham Origins – SweetFX vs Vanilla Comparison
