Deep Silver and X1 Software/AWAR today announced “D-Day”, an add-on pack for the tactical World War II shooter Iron Front – Liberation 1944. The DLC takes the player to the western theatre of the war where, in Normandy, the Allied armed forces fight against the German troops. ”D-Day” will be released in December 2012 and will be exclusively available on PC. Although we still don’t have any mod tools for RAGE, PC gamers can get their hands on some portions of its code (well, in a way), as id Software has released the source code of Doom 3: BFG Edition. In addition, id Software has released a new update for the PC version of Doom 3: BFG Edition that adds variable FOV settings options, controller bind options, Texture LOD bias to menu options and improves the game’s visuals as all projectiles now cast shadows. Croteam has released a new update for the PC version of Serious Sam 3. This patch fixes graphics corruption under OpenGL if game is minimized or “alt-tabbed” while it is loading content, other issues that plagued the game’s Steam Workshop, and adds some other stuff about the Serious Editor. Electronic Arts has released the launch trailer of Mass Effect 3: Omega DLC. This new single player DLC expands upon the events of Mass Effect 3 by allowing players to return to the seedy and unsavory levels of Omega to fight alongside fan favorite Aria T’Loak. This new chapter in Commander Shepard’s journey will also add powerful weapons and introduce never-before-seen characters to the franchise.
