So, Modern Combat 5 looks absolutely amazing for a mobile game and we are really impressed with the visuals of the latest Android and iOS games. Truth be told, they are nowhere close to the PC standards, but they are pretty impressive for handheld devices. Enjoy! Activision and Infinity Ward have released a new tech trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts, showcasing the graphical effects that will be supported in this next-gen version of this popular franchise. Call of Duty: Ghosts will support displacement mapping, SubD, sun-shafts, HDR, volumetric lighting, and high-resolution textures. To be honest though, apart from the SubD technique, these techniques have been used in other current-gen titles such as Crysis 3 and Metro: Last Light. Therefore, we are really puzzled here; does Activision believe that this is what gamers expect from a true next-gen title? You can view the tech trailer below. Geoff Keighley and Activision held an Early Access event today in which they showcased the SP mode of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Call of Duty: Ghosts was running on next-gen hardware (though Activision did not reveal the platform that was used) and seems to be a true COD game. In other words, it’s scripted to death. The dog in Ghosts will be called Riley and players will be able to control it. And simply ‘lol’ at the ending sequence where the dog jumps in a window, makes a lot of noise and then out of nowhere 5 trained guys with weapons somehow break down a wooden door so it explodes. I mean, seriously now? None of them thought of shooting the dog? Come oooooooooon. Anyway, you can view the streamed footage below, as well as some new screenshots that were recently released! Deep Silver has revealed the PC system requirements for the fourth part of Volition’s Saints Row series. According to the requirements, a quad-core is recommended for optimal experience. The good news here is that Volition and Deep Silver have specifically noted the 4 CPU cores of a relatively old quad-core CPU, meaning that we might get a nice performance across all four CPU cores. In addition, Saints Row IV will be a DX11-only title, however it will support DX10 GPUs via this API path. You can view the game’s PC requirements below. E3 will be starting in a couple of days, and DICE has already setup the PC systems that will be handling the MP mode of its highly anticipated title. DICE has shared the following image from one of the PC systems that will be powering it. As we can see, this PC setup will be taking advantage of two AMD cards in CrossFire mode, though we don’t know which AMD cards have been used. Still, it’s pretty obvious that DICE will demo BF4 yet again on the PC (at most probably a 4K resolution). Enjoy the image below and stay tuned for more!
